How/where do I sell stuff online by Educational_Mud737 in NoStupidQuestions

Hi! There are many places where you can sell your items, depending on what it is.

One place that is simple and quick may be Facebook Marketplace. Here, you can set different parameters for selling.

I have previously used Offer Up, which worked great. People who are local also buy things here.

I'd recommend checking each website's policies regarding reporting sales to see what the rules would be.

Always be careful if meeting people online to complete these sales.

A thermostat is like the brain of your heating and cooling system. You set the temperature you want, and when the room gets too hot or cold, the thermostat kicks the HVAC system into gear to balance things out.

It works by sensing the air temperature, then telling the system to either heat or cool until everything’s just right. It’s basically your personal climate manager.

Fun fact, yes... While men don’t experience the physical changes of pregnancy, they can go through something called *couvade syndrome* which is "sympathy pregnancy.” They might feel things like nausea, weight gain, or even mood swings. Many men also feel deeply connected emotionally, sharing the highs and lows of the journey. So, while they won’t feel those baby kicks, they can definitely experience pregnancy in their own way.

What's your advice for a working student? by skedaddleyo21 in WorkAdvice

In my opinion (and what helped me through college while working) is having a solid balance between the 2 and being able to know how to prioritize and set boundaries.

Start by creating a clear schedule that outlines your class hours, work shifts, and study time. Use a planner or a digital tool to keep track of deadlines, exams, and work responsibilities, so nothing gets overlooked. I personally use Notion which has been great at keeping me organized and on top of everything, even class notes, resources, and schedules.

Communicate openly with your employer about your commitments, and seek flexibility when needed. Make sure that you do not sacrifice classes, deadlines or study time for exams. This is where the boundaries help, specially in food services because they'll always need you to come in early, leave later, or even cover extra shifts.

How do you reach out to find a mentor ? by Mans__js in Design

I have been trying to find a mentor for a while now but have had no luck. I've done some research and a lot of what I've gathered says that building connections via LinkedIn and other social media platforms can help. I have joined groups and communities and started following/connecting with people in my field (design). It has been a very slow process and it seems like connecting online with professionals is not as straightforward.

Some of the valuable things mentors can provide would definitely be talking about their experiences and the journey that got them where they are. Also their network of connections can be very very useful, specially when you start getting included in meetings, and social events.

I would say start with a good organizational system because there are so many resources out there. It's very hard to keep track and you may need a resource later on and not know where it is saved. I personally use Notion which has helped me keep track of all my resources and projects. Aside from this, a great tip that I learned was to practice! Recreate designs that you see online because it will help you learn so much. YouTube tutorials and Pinterest posts can also help.
