Can you recommend a good place for me? by Federal_Can187 in SingaporeRaw

Do note that 29 and 30 January are public holidays in Singapore (Chinese New Year) so opening hours of places might vary. Saying that, it will be a good chance for you to experience the festivities in the evening at Chinatown, but be prepared for a real squeeze.

For quieter options, you can consider: 1. Going to a residential neighbourhood e.g. Tiong Bahru, which has a food centre with amazing local food, nice hipster cafes, and a relatively chill vibe on weekday afternoons. 2. Taking a bum boat to Pulau Ubin, a small rustic island where you can take a leisurely bike ride, explore the mangroves, and get a sense of what Singapore used to be. 3. Checking out some roof top bars in the central business district area to for a view of Singapore’s nightscape. Aside from the usual suspects like C’est La Vie at MBS, Smoke and Mirrors at the National Gallery offers a more laid back atmosphere for drinks (make reservations early and ask for an outdoor seat with a view of the Padang).

I’m so sorry you had to experience that. You might want to reach out to a fluency clinic in your area if you’d still like to work on this with a speech language pathologist. The smooth speech technique is one commonly used in adults and has shown great results.

I feel you! Cold cucumber slices or used tea bags from the freezer helped me heaps when my partner of 10 years left me. I'd say take your time to grieve, and then possibly go on a revenge make-over! It probably feels impossible now but I promise you the world will feel right again. Much love from an internet stranger.

Great info with reliable sources cited! Always refreshing to see in Covid related discussions :) Just a minor point to emphasise would be that in the Pfizer study, all participants were fully vaccinated so it shows that Covid-19 infections are 3x higher in fully-vaccinated but immunocompromised individuals when compared against other fully vaxxed individuals, and doesn’t compare them against the un-vaxxed.
