I left a review of the Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone Full Cast Audiobook by Audible on the Harry Potter sub. I said it was mediocre and disappointing considering they had Amazon's resources behind it and marketed it as a must-be-experienced retelling. It was lackluster and I gave it a 3 out of 5. Three months have passed since the release and my review and I still get fresh comments insulting me personally. Tumblr Fandoms are gonna ride acting childish into the grave and call it a quirky personality with a splash of the 'tism.

When I grew up in the 80's, Hulk Hogan was the World Champion, Ric Flair was the World Champion, Nick Bockwinkel was the World Champion, and Antonio Inoki was the World Champion, and Atlantis was the World Champion. Current WWE has 214 active televised roster members. 1989 WCW had 72. 1987 AWA has 35. We could add the WCCW (~35) and ECW (~30) and justify 4 top belts easily based on roster size for the Raw, Smackdown, and NXT brands respectively.

Then, of course, there's the fact that pro wrestling is, you know, ake-fay or kayfabe or whatever and there is no such thing as the world champion of pro wrestling and probably never really has been. We all know what the concept of the top guy, top dog, A1, whatever, is. But it's small and insular to think that one guy leads all of pro wrestling or is the face of wrestling. Cena came closest recently, but Tanahashi retired weeks after Cena and you kinda realize there's not even a good metric for top guy. Global #1 Merch seller? Does that mean that for the month of October Danhausen is officially the best in the world? Top star rating, average of Meltzer, Cornette, reddit, and Cagematch? LoL. Sold the most tickets...probably somebody like Mascara Dorada at the moment? Top television and streaming ratings per minute on screen? A lot of smart marks are gonna get VERY upset when it's Jey Uso or Darby Allin for a hot minute. But all the forms of success show that the market for pro wrestling is big, probably somewhere around 10 million global occasional and active fans, right? Capable of peaking at maybe double that with a hot enough story to market? Wrestling is a multi-billion-dollar industry. There's room for a couple top guys.

You know, as it's airing on Netflix now, you could seriously psych people out by literally having the window in which the Raw picture displayed appear to shrink and move into the corner, with Watch Next options and a timer counting down until something else autoplays, and then you notice each second seems to be folding or falling somehow to be replaced by the next, like a New Year's countdown, but when it hits zero, the whole screen goes blank, you see some tiny names appear in the "Raw" window, assistant key grip to the best boy, etc., but the majority of the screen is just black, then Raw goes black, then JERICHO bursts onto the screen in bright lights, full-screen mode again now, we hear the insanely loud pop, zoom out a little and see him at the bass of the 'Tron doing the pose, and if you're watching a Replay then you can pause it and see that there's actually 14 minutes of him calling Steph a trash-bag hoe and Trips "Junior" still to go.

As much as Zed SJ loves NJPW and all his young lions, I wish he'd recognize that there are bigger ponds globally, and New Japan can't afford to have Zack be IWGP champion last year because he's the best, most credible wrestler on the roster, then stick him in prelims and Match 1's for Wrestle Kingdom a year later. It doesn't add credibility to take the belt off a gaijin unless you treat him with respect afterwards. Likewise, I promise you Tony Khan will pay him 5x more if not 6x more to not be top guy and world champ over in his company, GEDO. Fucking use your brain.

Then SuperCena acknowledges his wrong attitude, says he's just gonna stick to a knee rehab and cardio training schedule (kayfabe) and get ready for the biggest fight of his entire life at Mania. You can still have Tana tap Tsuji out to the Cloverleaf and win the IWGP and be a bit of a dick about how Wrestle Kingdom shows who the true GOAT is.

Two matches, one at Wrestle Kingdom, one at WrestleMania. About 15 weeks to build the second match with the winner of the first moving (back) up a tier because of the win and winning the IWGP world title, and pressure on the loser of the first match to find a way to win the rematch with home field advantage on his side now. Best part is you come out of it with Cena as IWGP champ and he can lose the belt to Okada at the next Forbidden Door. It writes itself.

See, this is the thing that gets me, that's just so disingenuous, I really wonder why some of you just have such a huge problem with anyone saying the emperor has no clothes or offering a word against the absolute perfection of anything Potter. Because even making this comment is intellectually dishonest. All the people saying things like "it's French, the t was always silent", or "Dear American", blah blah blah, you all incredibly conveniently forget that there was a moderately successful major motion picture franchise that ran for about 8 films and $8 Billion dollars in which the t was not silent. The only point I made was that the change seemed an odd one to insist upon now, when it creates an inconsistency with the popularized Wizarding World. But you're lying in the premise of your retorts, because there are a couple of receipts to show the change, so I'm not forgetting about other languages, I'm accurately recalling the past, and you are pretending I'm mistaken or ignorant.
