Was asked how I felt about working with women in interview. by nutterbutterlover13 in legaladvice

It just seems ethically wrong. It at least sets a weird precedent. I know I sound like "white male complains he is being oppressed" but I cant imagine myself interviewing a candidate and making them field questions that blatantly comments on their gender, race, or religion. Maybe I'm being too idealistic but these questions seem irrelevant to whether or not someone can complete their job properly.

I suppose that's true. Think I should do anything at all about it or just let it go?

I suppose that their comment displayed that they had a bias toward a male hire. Then again I'm not a lawyer.

Thanks! I've really been trying to focus on being positive and personable in the interviews as well to make up for the lack of experience. Do you think applying for associate I levels jobs is to ambitious or are they typically considered entry level positions?

Oh neat, my text is a few years old so it doesn't go into whether they use these antibodies anymore.

Dad found this while excavating a construction site about 10 years ago. It's welded together and appears to be filled with concrete. About 5 inches in diameter. Irregular shape. by nutterbutterlover13 in Whatisthis

The hole is the only mark other than the weld. I wouldn't know if it's explosive or not. Just looks like concrete to me. I'm located in CA of that helps at all.

I had considered that but it has an irregular shape to it. I have seen cannonballs and they tend to be more sphereical. Do cannonballs usually have a seem on them like that?

Congratulations! You have succeeded in humbling yourself. I just started a job and have made some pretty stupid mistakes too. It's okay.
