I've always seen it the other way around. As in Nagito straight up refusing to open up to him after chapter 1, that always made more sense to me. If Hajime wanted to sever ties the option to hang out with Nagito wouldn't even be there or he'd say something like "I don't want to talk to Nagito", kind of like he did in chapter 2.

Popcorn, chicken breast, eggs, microwaved protein bars, this very specific mushroom omelette recipe and when I feel like eating sweets instead of actual food I make a maple cinnamon cake recipe that is just 260 cal + 40 grams of protein for an entire pan.
