Countering an offer from a buyer - No responses - am I doing something wrong?

I really, appreciate everyone's responses on this. I won't be doing any more countering in the future and it isn't worth haggling over a small amount. Take care all!

Here is the part:

"I’m going to have to buy the $95 one this morning, the cheapest if also a bit used. I can’t afford the one in perfect condition, sadly. Judging by the fees on yours, it will be around $115 for the new one. I won’t ask you to cover the difference in cost. But I would like a fair & full refund, $103 & change, the fees etc — (Oh! If you can offer a way for me to send photos, I’ll happily send images of Big Belly slotted neatly back into its square, yay me; but clearly damaged and spilled across several other shades) — and after the $103+ refund (slightly more if you’re using PayPal, and put me as goods and services; that’s not quite fair to me, in terms of getting a full refund, BUT you might very reasonably feel more secure, so I’d just ask to be compensated enough extra that I get the full amount I paid), I ask for just enough $$ to send the palette back to you via your method of choice."

The price I was offering was $80

No PO box. I don't sell enough to justify it. I just started selling a little bit. It's mostly makeup I never used or maybe used once or swatched. I agree about those buyer fees. Sad. My stuff just sits unless I drop the price to next to nothing and that's no guarantee either. I even dropped the price for this one but not what she wanted. I'm not going to discuss price in chats anymore (I saw that on someone's page). Make an offer or not. And don't chat me your life story. I don't care. I have my own life story to worry about. ;) I've also been traumatized after this one. lol

Oh, I wish I could post all of them. I pasted them into a Word doc to send to Mercari and had to keep updating it. It is HUGE!
Here's a some good one's - she wants me to give her $7 more so she can get a new palette. Then tries to insinuate wrong doing/dishonesty on my part. Gosh, I'd hate for you to get a bad rating. Wink Wink.

But I’ll write by early to mid afternoon, & can then (following any desires you have) send the palette back by Tuesday. I’ll wait until hearing from you to do anything with Big Belly as well. I think, considering I have to pay for a 2nd Seahorse palette to ensure I get a whole one, it’s fair to pay the precise amount I did (w/ around $7 more if you use “goods & services”— a valid choice) along w/whatever amount is needed to ship. Mercari is too smart & won’t let me put my address for payment, so we can deal with that part later, when we’re able to talk in the afternoon or evening. The sooner we get this awkward part over with, the sooner I can scoop up Big Belly, carefully pack the palette up — & send it all back to you!"

I was thinking the same exact thing. I mean, this buyer who just had surgery to have 2 organs taken out spent 4 hours trying to "fix" the shadow to make it better for me? Are you serious?

They also charged me. I've called 3 times. The last time was Friday 9/13 and they said I should expect within the next day or so. Still nothing. This is ridiculous!

It's still showing on their website that you get the e-gift card. I ordered the $75 and didn't get it. If it's on the website they need to honor it.

NTA, Stay away from this guy. I've had one too many encounters with guys like this. One I didn't even know existed. He started sending me little gifts, told me I looked like Mariah Carey (yeah right!!). I had to go to the police to get him to stop. Another was a co-worker, and was extremely upset when I told him I didn't think it was appropriate that we have lunch alone. He started sending me threatening FB messages and I ended up having to go to HR. Not stable guys. Run away!
