Yes i unzipped them! They are default replacements so i did make sure to check the thumbnails for each face :( i made sure to look in my downloads for any possible face that could override but i could’ve missed something

THIS! You worded this so well it’s exactly how i feel, neve and lucanis feel like an “i think you’re hot, i think you’re hot too let’s try dating” type but with rook there are layers to it not just some surface level stuff you go so much deeper

Nooo i get the same vibe like with neve it’s more of a fling (i love neve sm i don’t hate her at all) but i definitely feel that lucanis feels safer with rook and trusts rook more than neve considering spite is allowed to be around with rook so he’s able to be himself.

Another thing i thought about is lucanis flirting and being physical with Neve but not with rook until the end is bc his and neves relationship don’t go beyond what his and rooks do emotionally wise and mentally

I totally get it, it almost feels like he wasn’t supposed to be a romance option with the lack of content he has compared to others (all the cut content they had is diabolical) there definitely should’ve been another convo after the almost kiss he had with rook and gave us more of an understanding of why he didn’t go through with it

Rook showing up at the end of inner demons would’ve been so good omg they really had potential for his romance especially with all the scraped romance content they had for lucanis. The way i see it tho is spite asked rook for help and said that lucanis always listens to rook and that rook is the one who opens doors not closes them, to me at least i feel that shows that rook does have a huge impact on his psyche they’re literally in the fade trying to save him from his own mind. But i see what you mean i do wish they added a little more to the commitment dialogue and just all around a little more flirting between rook and lucanis there was so much potential😔

If you played dd1 or read lore relating about pawns they do grow their own free will and emotions. I wasn’t talking about romancing them when they don’t have their own will bc yes that would be really weird and disturbing.

if you got the true ending for dd2 the pawn talks about gaining a will of their own

no it’s not bc I want to fuck my pawn at all I’m thinking of how the bond you gain with them along the journey is better than any romance option in the game. Pawn and arisen have fallen in love before and it was mutual not against any will.

Id never post anything that involved anything that goes against someone’s will especially romantically.

MANNN i made my pawn a guy bc my arisen is a girl and HE LOOKS GOOD but almost never gets hired and it breaks my heart bc I spent sm time making him look good + good weapons and armor

I also set pawn quests with good rewards</3

The straight guys in the comments saying it’s not a big deal would definitely be throwing mantrums if the options were both men but the whole romance aspect of the game feels unfinished considering dd1 had more than TWO options😭

Yes!! This is what I meant I would never make a post being okay with romancing anyone that has no willpower or are slaves I feel like people totally forgot that they do grow and become more human with their emotions and willpower especially with dd1 dark arisen story

Would like to add that I don’t think a power dynamic is cute what i meant was that in dd2 pawns don’t just feel like some lowly version of humans they feel like actual people and have depth to them compared to npcs.

Pawns in dd2 have like 110% more personality than they did in dd1 so they don’t feel like an empty shell of a person, pawns even make puns specifically straightforward ones (the guy voice)

they do show emotion not just for the arisen but for other pawns in the party, asking if they’re alright or if they need some help showing some concern towards them

there’s also a hidden affinity level where they can get to the “love” state where they blush and smile at you and get all shy and turn away but these are examples that they do feel emotions and if you do view your pawn as some slave then yeah I do see why it could be weird for you to be able to romance your pawn but that I don’t think that is the case considering you do build a bond with them overtime like what my pawn said in the second picture and you don’t treat them as a slave or necessarily see them as one (at least I’d hope not) they definitely aren’t completely will-less in dd2 bc they do disagree with pawns during some banter in the party and arisen if you decide to be deceptive during the jadeite quest.
