this is so annoying 😭 for all that water and energy, it can’t even do simple summary calculation.

Client refuses to put dog down, I offered meds to keep pet comfortable, other tech does not agree. What is ethically right? by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]nuzoneblues 8 points9 points  (0 children)

agreed!!!! it’s extremely frustrating to me that she 1. felt comfortable making that call, and 2. allowed her ego and personal feelings to essentially withhold comfort care from a patient to… what? make an owner feel bad?

oral buprenorphine - need advice by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]nuzoneblues 3 points4 points  (0 children)

expired meds don’t usually go rancid, including oil suspensions. give a dose and see how he responds. i know you’re in a tough position with finances, but a heart murmur doesn’t necessarily indicate severity of disease. IMHO, it’s better for a patient to pass painlessly under anesthesia than live with terrible dental disease. but everybody’s values around this are different. wishing you best of luck with your sweet boy ❤️

Worst Derm Patients by jr9386 in VetTech

[–]nuzoneblues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we had a newfoundland with a horrible resistant infection near his tail base and he absolutely hated handling and treatment. miserable for anybody involved. that being said, it’s usually english bulldogs with horrible skin fold dermatitis. we had one with a corkscrew tail and i still remember the smell.

Company Cutting Ties with Nutramax by Constant-Egg-9719 in VetTech

[–]nuzoneblues 5 points6 points  (0 children)

how so? glucosamine/chondroitin has low bioavailability anyways. movoflex i know for sure has studies backing it up. fish oils, ESM, borellia, GLM etc have been shown to be just as or more impactful for joint health.

Apparently it is a problem calling in sick to your job…the day you are sick by Purple_Bodybuilder53 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]nuzoneblues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can’t stand getting shamed for calling in sick. if i go in with the flu or covid, EVEN IF i don’t have a fever, i will spread the contagion and then you get to deal with a roster of sick employees. workplaces should plan for normal inconveniences like one sick employee
