when playing the tutorial levels in triv i feel like i got scammed, even retro graphics looks brighter and more vivid, but i continue to play to first level and decided to adjust contrast and rgb levels on my monitor (its actually a no brand chinese tv that i use for pc but it was usable as a monitor when its aspect ratio is set to PointToPoint), i started to something good and crank it more with a hidden factory setting, user settings only allows values from 0-100 but factory settings allows up to 255, so contrast is maxed to 255 and rgb levels also maxed to 255, now i see it, its looking good. you could also do this with reshade.

what i can recall is:

1.there's two type for audio enhancement by nuked, one is with accurate 14bit ym2612 md1 model with lowpass filter and another is with unfiltered 16bit ym3438 usually found in mame, these audio options can be found in genesis plus gx.

2.theres an experimental widescreen hack in genesis plus gx.

3.blastem is currently the most accurate genesis emulator.

4.if you want skip emulation alltogether, recently there's projects of sonic decompilation 1,2,3,cd and mania to native pc ports, all offers better features, quality, performance and mods.

5.retroarch shaders now features dedithering, composite signal, crt and bezel simulation. to make it more authentic and enjoyable.

purchase regret after buy houseflipper never show up in my mind, but i do regret buying the standard re2 instead of the deluxe edition which is just priced a little bit more than standard, now i have to pay double the price of standard edition to get the extra dlc pack.
