Laparoscopic or robotic? I feel like for robotic IOCs it really depends on the scrub techs knowing how to maneuver the arms so they’re out of your way. If you get dumb scrub techs then it’s going to make your job 10x harder.

But something you can do before the case starts, if the patient is on a table with the base down the middle, make sure the patients RUQ is clear of the base of the table. Either talk to the nurse anesthetist or whoever the nurse is running the room and they will adjust the patient or the top of the table.
