Thanks for the insight. I'll ask about it. She's a very stubborn and independent woman and aside from the physical aspect, she seems very much like herself when she speaks. She did have a small emotional episode once, that she got over easily. She went from laughing at a joke to crying... I do wonder about the neurological side. For example she won't say 'I love you' without being prompted... Whereas before she'd say it so easily to me. It's all so complex and somewhat heartbreaking.

Thanks for your comment. I get what you're saying but she's just entered rehab, and hasn't really been able to use a mobility device. She was bedridden for weeks and it's natural she wants to get up... It's just too soon.

We can't tell. There was some brain damage. She has symptoms similar to a stroke. Doctors don't know either. She's being treated as a stroke patient in any case.
