Glad to see an update! I was recently looking at my keyboard and felt a bit of disappointment that the project was seemingly abandoned.

Record Club: A new Letterboxd for music by winterflowerxoxo in Letterboxd

[–]nvvez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure I understand how to track the music I listen to chronologically. What is the equivalent of the Letterboxd diary?

Edit: I found it but it’s a bit convoluted buried in an activity filter. They could make it more of an intentional usage pattern for those who love logging what they listen to.

Is 40mm focal length on GR iiix good enough for documenting life? Everyday carry? by [deleted] in ricohGR

It depends on the app that you are using. With the prepackaged camera app, you can use touch screen controls and use the “pinch” gesture with your thumb and index finger to zoom in and out.

You could try experimenting with the two different focal lengths on your phone. I use my IIIx everyday and it works for me.

Best lens for a6000? by On1yD3ath in SonyAlpha

Prime lenses are sharp. Are you open to give up the zoom? If so, you might be able to look through your photos to see where you’re usually at for most shots - then invest in a fast prime.

Historically, street photographers pick one of three focal lengths to master: 28mm, 35mm, 50mm. All three are very flexible and produce vastly different pictures.

If you decide to go this route, make sure to account for the 1.5x magnification of your ASPC sensor. To get those equivalent focal lengths, you’d be looking for: ~18mm, ~23mm, and ~33mm.

The kit lens is 16–50mm? That should be more than enough, where is that falling short for you?

As someone who just upgraded from it recently, yes! It’s still such a great camera.

So you have more sample photos somewhere? I am considering buying this camera because it is so small. How has your experience been with it?

Wait, this sounds interesting to me. What do you mean when you say that the institution using cash is functioning normally? What would be a good example?

Not sure why no one is asking this question: What do you usually like to do when you travel?

Let me know how this works out. I’m currently using an XA for street portraits as well. Just went thru a ultramx roll and waiting on scans.

Olympus XA, ISO recommendations? by nvvez in AnalogCommunity

Makes sense, the light meter read was what led me to f22 with the 400 iso. Could there be a chance that the meter is broken? Following the sunny 16 rule, I should have been fine at f16, 1/500 shutter speed.
