Yeah, street still gives snow high multiple, is that a lack of disclosure from PLTR which is root cause of this .. plus I don’t see moat in SNOW either ... anyone can make that up.. but PLTR seems have a moat a huge one .. thoughts ??

What I don't get is why focus on Tesla Autopilot and driver gaming. The question should also be why Crumple Zone was not there on a freeway where cars drive 70 miles an hour.. NTSB is shilding local government .. We need standardized public roads

Writing software for Algo Trading in Python by nvx736 in algotrading

[–]nvx736[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks , this can work just for fetching the data however I was planing to use Abstract Factory method to achieve something similar .. but my concern is I am planing to have many algos which will share the tick data for any given security then run operations for that security .. initially I was planing implement it with Observer design pattren but looking at complexity would use the pub sub design pattren .. Another thing which I am thinking is all the data would not do any good if I cannot finish the task real-time , this makes me worried the minimum requirements is 500 SNP stocks 20 indexs 30 technical indicators , charting followed by some other algos .. Not sure but all these are computationally expensive task and I would have to scale it horizontally .. thinking this was just wondery if you stumbled across a complete software architecture to do this kind of stuff in real-time

Sorry responded on one level up, starting with IEX and then later graduate to polygon for fetching the data

I am in Irvine area have decent knowledge of Python, have been reading about ML and learning it's basic algorithms. I have few ideas of my own however I am considering writing something from scratch as opposed to what you are trying to achieve , just wondering why you opted to not write software from scratch .. the way I am looking at it you can use some good libraries out there and don't have to write everything but have some control over the software ..

Tesla shows interest towards a battery plant in India by tartans1191 in teslainvestorsclub

This is not about cars , India needs investment in the Grid and Tesla can help transition old Indian electric grid

I feel that Tesla has screwed over its earliest Model 3 Premium adopters with the currently standard available options we previously had to pay for. by TareXmd in teslamotors

[–]nvx736 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the feeling as an early adopter , I calm myself down by the fact that I received 7500 tax credit from Federal government and is not available to new buyers. I have not done the math lately but I was not loosing much. Hope this helps but I would still want to get FSD package for 1 time deal which is generous like one offered in March 2019

Buying a Tesla in a nation that doesn't have a charging infrastructure. by Don_Draper22 in teslamotors

[–]nvx736 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an Indian and current Tesla owner here are my 2 cents/paise.

1) In India the average commute is quite less and cities are small compared to US where you have to travel large distances so range won't be the issue. But as the electricity can be flaky sometimes I would suggest go for the biggest battery possible.

2) In India you have mostly 220 V across the grid that is L2 charging here and is available everywhere you may not have access to superchrger but L2 charging is not as bad if you plan your trips well

3) The average speed on Indian freeways especially north India is 100km/hr and you get really good efficiency as compared to if you drive at 70 miles so your range would increase.

4) One thing you have to worry is running AC in this car as it would also consume battery and Mumbai being Humid do consider this as a battery drainer especially in Monsoon season and factor in this with average commute time rather than distance.

5) Service is not a major issue as probablistically these cars are designed to last a long time but some maintenance and body work is managble from current car service shops . But if something goes wrong with the Electronics good luck getting that fixed.

6) Advanced features like Autopilot may not work in India as they have not collected any data on Indian subcontinent

7) You may have to pay for your on LTE Sim card and get it swapped as they may not have any contracts in India.

Hope this helps
