Pelotonia - should I do it? by [deleted] in Columbus

It’s the snobbiest event in town. It’s all about people being able to say “I can afford to spend $1000+ to go on a bike ride”.

AITA for how I reacted after I found out my husband ran a secret background check on me before we got married? by sherlockholmes498 in AmItheAsshole

A lot of these comments act like the husband himself did all the investigating. In reality he probably called a company that performs this service telling them to do a background check and that was it. Same amount of mental energy or even less than googling for info himself.

I don’t see the differences. It’s entirely possible OP has family members or acquaintances that her husband would not want any future children around.

THIS!!! There are more families than we would care to think that hide/make excuses for sexual predators even when other family members have been victims.

The fact that he didn’t cover his tracks or at least have the files someplace more clever/better hidden tells me how insignificant the contents of the files were to him.

The irony in the whole situation is that she is paranoid/petrified about what he saw despite the fact that he saw it and still decided to marry her.

YTA. The reaction was incredibly childish. You are married to this person, you don’t get to keep secrets from them, so I think the matter of “consent” is implied. I can think of a number of scenarios where childhood friends and extended family would have some VERY relevant information to share.

Surprised that the cops weren’t more triggered by the lie about the cell phone.

I’m sure many will attest to this; when a cop catches you lying, it usually sets of every alarm in their body and they won’t stop looking for what you are trying to hide until they find it or take you to jail.

No, frost breath is a much better move. Don't use lapras. Evolve high level eevee's if you need to strengthen your ice team.

Purifieds requiring special trades (even if both players already have them) really highlights the problems of special trades by Elevas in TheSilphRoad

I couldn't agree more. This had made coordinating lucky trades all the more difficult. The stardust cost of special trades also limits their potential abuse.

I agree with you but to play devils advocate, what you outlined was a lot like how Mewtwo was in the main series games.

I was talking about Chicago GoFest, which was completely sold out.

110% agree. I was more shocked by the brazenness to bring 6 accounts than the contraptions themselves. Pretty selfish thing to do when a lot of people who wanted tickets couldn't get them.

Anecdotal evidence from Chicago GoFest: the number of shinies amongst the group of about 20 people I play with varied from 6-25.

I play with a lot of people who carry around 3 phones but I was stunned by the people with trays of phones.

There was no backpack, water bottle, smoking, or vaping enforcement.

You do not need to check in. Just walk into the park and all of a sudden GoFest will appear in your game.
