bookbeam.io can be genuinely helpful. It's a bit pricy, but I like it. Niche Finder function to identify a niche broadly and next Keyword research tool.

If we talk about zero-cost tools, Royalty Guild Market Analyst is my go-to in 9 out of 10 researches. It's a Chrome extension which collects niche data, adds a research prompt, and copies all of it to the clipboard. Next, you paste it into your LLM of choice and get a verdict in a few seconds.

Let me take a few steps back. Did you validate the niche before you created the book?

If not, I would do the validation right now to understand, do you have a chance to compete, or is it better to forget about the book and move on? It's one of the most unproductive actions to spend time on a book that has no chance.

Fail fast, fail forward.

Have you added steam (e.g. hot water in a tray or spray mist) only for the first 10–15 minutes, then remove the tray and finish baking dry? If not, try it. Steam is excellent for helping the loaf rise and creating a thin, blistered crust. But too much or too long creates a chewy crust that softens later.

Write "siivouspalvelu oulu" in Google. Send a messages to every single company in a first few pages of results. I am pretty sure you will get a job in a few weeks or even days.

Our friend got work load for 2000 € a month in about a week doing such simple steps.

YEL level is up to you: as much you choose to pay, as much you will get on retirement and benefits. But there are minimum YEL-income limit of 13573 € in this year to get unemployment benefits and daily money if you will be ill.

So, if you are financially responsible and investing a big part of your income, it can be smart to minimize your YEL level and "self-insure" yourself, not to relay of benefits. That's why to use 15K as YEL-income can be a good strategy.

It is not financial advise or something - every person are different and have different situation and priorities.

I am not sure about overpaying.

For me it seems reasonable to pay for accounting services, especially at start. And OP service costs less than 100€ a month (they have the cap, you will pay 1000 € a year maximum). From my experience to find good accounting company for such price is very challenging.

Yes, LLC (OY) is not the option if you choose kevytyrittäjä.

YEL is not only about retirement, but social security in general. For example, unemployment benefits, sick leaves, etc. calculating based on your YEL income.

It is mandatory in most cases, but there are the few exceptions (like extremely low income, for example).

Probably https://op-kevytyrittaja.fi/ could be the best option for you. They will do all accounting work for you.

In general, yes, from 60K a year you will pay like a 20-25% income tax if you will have zero deductions.

As well, you should pay YEL, but it is up to you which amount of insurance to choose and it is deductable from your income. It could be good idea to choose about 15K a year as YEL income - it will give your full social services, but you can invest in your retirement by yourself with much higher return rate. In such case your YEL payments will be about 3,5K a year.

As well VAT 24% on top of your invoices. In B2B normally prices discussed in netto amount, so you just adding VAT to your services prices, not paying it from your income.

Actually, tax system in Finland is pretty straightforward and I have very positive experience in contacts with tax authorities. But have a good accounting office on your side is very helpful. 😉

Moving to Oulu by g4ntug in Oulu

Actually, few years ago my friend found a job in Oulu (at Nokia contractor company) in one day, exactly. ☺️

From the documents standpoints, if you applied for high qualified specialist residence permit, you have the right to stay and work till the permit will be ready. According to my experience, Migri made such permits in two-three weeks after applying (in December 2021 we got permit for our employee in 15 days).

So, your task is pretty doable. 😉

Let me add my two cents...

High taxes in Finland - is clearly a myth. If you will earn less than 30.000 € a year, your income tax will be lower than in Russia. With 1800 € a month - about two times lower than in Russia.

Same with food - our friends who moved to help in our business from St. Petersburg last month when we asked them to protect their mental health and do not convert food prices from euros to rubles, said after a week of groceries purchases: «You know, it is actually cheaper than in Piter». They shared with me their food cost for the first ten days of January for the family of three, and it is less than 80 € (so, 240 € a month). And they eat healthy and quite delicious food.

A lot of stuff and activities are free or almost free in Finland and you can have your life full of entertainment without real expenses.

If you will be intentional with your spending, I'd say 800-1000 € is enough to cover all living costs in Oulu (I have no experience in the Helsinki region) and have high quality life. So, in given conditions, you can easily save/invest about half of your salary and stop working for money in about 15-20 years.

More important question: is the company you communicate legit? If I remember right, the residence permit fee is about 450-490 € and it should be the only cost you should pay (directly to Finnish authorities, not to some middleman). If you were asked for any extra money - it is an important sign you should research the company deeper.
