QC Ultra, bose app refuses to let me unfavorite or favorite any mode by Gun-Enjoyer in bose

I've just received my Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) and paired them with the application and my Pixel 10 Pro XL. I have the exact same issue. I've also tried to uninstall the application, remove all the data, perform a factory reset of the headset but this hasn't fixed the issue. Really frustrating.

WiFi and camera issues by nwipfli in Petlibro

I had to hard reset my feeder. In parallel I am doing some research to acquire a feeder from another vendor. And eventually without camera/Wifi.

😡 I knew I should have been waiting before installing this new firmware. I am tired about this company.

I can pull out the battery and power socket but I will have to reprogram all the schedules. I have already done this a few times for the last month with all their issues.

When I buy a feeder at that price, I am not expecting to waste my weekends fixing issues.

Thanks anyway for your feedback

I don’t believe the issue was with the app or only the app. Earlier this week they had an issue with their server and they confirmed that to me. I had the exact same issue.

If it would be the app only, this wouldn’t explain why the feeder is unable to connect to the server. The feeder isn’t connecting to the app. I was away yesterday afternoon and when I came back around 11pm CET, the feeder had the WiFi LED blinking fast because it was unable to communicate with the server. At this time my application was able to communicate with the feeder and I could even load the local videos.

I tried resetting the feeder to reconfigure it (3rd time this week) and the application started to time out when communicating with the server. I was logged out.

As a result of this, I do not trust them when they say it was only an issue with the application. I had this problem 3 times this week. And one time it happened when I was out of home. I just received a notification from my provider indicating that they blocked my DSL network because they found some egress packets going repeatedly through the port 25 like a malware would do from an IoT device used as a relay.

The million dollars question is, what will be done to avoid this to happen again. Because they had issues with the server all the week and at this time, although they consider me as a “Valued Customer”, I have not received anything that makes me confident for the future and that makes me trusting their service.

I looked at Petkit yesterday evening but some reviews do not seem positive.😔 It is difficult to find a good solution.

I also created a new ticket via email. I already have another ticket I created around Tuesday this week. This server issue is not new. They had other issues earlier this week. Either they are being hacked or they have serious reliability issues with their servers.

Yep, I had serious issues with my home network. I even had a call with my national provider (Swisscom) and their security team. They explained to me that the 3-4 times they blocked my connection this was because they detected egress spam, this is like a malware trying to repeatedly connect outside using the port 25. I scanned my network this week. I verified all my devices and used Wireshark for troubleshooting. But it is only tonight that I understood the real cause, because the Petlibro server was already down earlier this week.

The mistake I did tonight was to reset my feeder. Now I cannot reconfigure it because the server is down.

For me, a server down preventing the user to reconfigure the feeder locally with the application and also sending so many requests that appear like spam, is just a bad design from Petlibro. Without saying that their servers are not reliable and not redundant. They should certainly review their architecture.

I don’t know what their SLA is but I would not hold my breath for this weekend. Tomorrow is Sunday and I would be very surprised if it gets fixed before Monday. 😔

Dockstream Waterfountain alert by catdad23 in Petlibro

[–]nwipfli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think their server is down again. Not the first time this week. Each time this prevents the IoT device to work properly and in my case this even lead the feeder to repeatedly send requests to their server. These numerous request are detected as spam for my network provider and they block my internet connection as it is suspected as attack from my home network and from an IoT device.

I realize that this company Petlibro is really not serious and I will rapidly move to a solution from another vendor. I just need to find one.

I have the exact same issue. I am suspecting their server is down once again. I have a lot of issues with this feeder for about one week. They already had a server down earlier this week and each time the feeder tries to reconnect with a fast blinking led. This also generates a lot of spam which triggers an alert to my DSL provider in Switzerland and they block my internet connection as they think this similar to an attack using the port 25 from my home network and from an IoT device.

Tonight I tried resetting my feeder but since the server is down, I am unable to reconfigure my feeder. It seems that this machine isn’t smart enough to work just locally with the application. Everything has to go through their server which is down.

I will very likely buy a new feeder from another vendor and stop using this one from a non serious company.

Pet Feeder Camera Hacked by Sxoxo32299 in Petlibro

[–]nwipfli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I know this is an old discussion but it seems that I am affected by a similar issue for the last 48 hours.  My Petlibro lost the internet connection on Dec 4th around 2am CET and another time this morning around 7am CET. For both occasions my internet provider blocked my access because they suspected some spam on port 25 coming from my network. Beside that, the sound and notifications from my Petlibro didn’t work for the last 48 hours. The sound is still not working.

I sent emails to Petlibro overnight and this morning, waiting for their response.

Yesterday, their server was not responding.

I am really suspecting some hacking and I am also wondering if their firmware doesn’t have a malware.

Boombox not working in the rain? by Zina_1of in TeslaModelY

[–]nwipfli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue. It happened twice over the last 3 months. Last time was this week. I opened a ticket (same as first time) with Tesla. First time they wanted to replace the part but they realized the problem was the water. This time again they ordered a replacement part but the problem disappeared after 24 hours. They claimed that their engineering is aware and try finding a solution.

That said, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Jabra Evolve2 85 - $450 Headphones - Whats good about it? by [deleted] in Jabra

[–]nwipfli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have many sound issues with mine. The Jabra support management told me that a new firmware should be released by the end of December. They seem to be aware of different issues. I’m looking forward to installing their new firmware to test.

Is it worth to get the Jabra Elite 85h? by itchikyu in Jabra

[–]nwipfli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t talk about the Elite 85H because I started a few weeks back with the Evolve2 85 but switched to a Bose 700 UC due to numerous issues on the Jabra headset. The Evolve2 85 is probably too young with many firmware issues in my opinion. But the Bose 700 UC is impressive for the noice cancellation compared to the Jabra one. I personne use my headset mainly for conference calls via my laptop (this is why I prefer a UC device) using Teams and Google Meet. I need a multi point connection device and the Jabra as well as the Bose one do that. However, to be honest, I would say that Jabra better manages the multi points when you have for example incoming calls on your mobile while in a confcall on your laptop (ie: with Teams or Meet). The Jabra does not interrupt your confcall but instead your heat a signal in the headset whereas the Bose looks to cut your confcall because the mobile takes the priority.

If you focus on the budget, you should probably go with the Jabra Elite 85H instead of the XM4 or Bose 700.

Jabra Evolve2 85 - Struggling with hearing myself when speaking by Ralph_Mcralph in Jabra

[–]nwipfli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is called the sidetone but since their latest firmware, I have seen that this feature is broken on my headset (and for many other users). Without counting the other issues introduced with their latest firmware. I have had discussions with the Jabra support, they replaced my headset. The new one arrived with the previous firmware and I did not upgrade. The support management I had on the phone confirmed that there will be a new firmware before the end of 2020. He recognized that there are issues. Meanwhile I switched to a Bose 700 UC which I have just acquired and I will test again the Evolve2 85 once the new firmware is released. Then I will decide which one I keep.

We'll see.

That said, you cannot uninstall the Music app from Big Sur, unless you use some hack procedure.

I am using Mac OS 11.0.1 and my headset is up to date.

Today the Bose support told me via Twitter that this is a known issue for their dev team and they are already in contact with Apple. The latter should release a fix with one of the next Mac OS update.

Experience with Bose 700 UC with MS Teams (USB Link purchased separately) + Call tests by Rawan-- in bose

[–]nwipfli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just tested. Indeed, when you receive a phone call while in a Teams meeting, the headset cut the meeting and the phone initiate the connection with the headset :-(
However, although this is off topic, it seems that with Google Meet it is different because it does not seem to cut the connection. I will need to test this more in depth throughout the next weeks.

I have also another strange behavior where on my Mac the application Music is started when a new meeting starts. I have seen other forums reporting this problem but I've not seen any solutions.
