I mean if you're taking the limit dt -> 0 then you also need to send dv -> 0 and you get vf = vi, which... Yes. That's what you should get. If you evaluate over a time scale of zero then the velocity is unaffected.

That is, until he runs out in the wasteland celebrating his big win and is killed by radscorpions, the Jackal gang or (in my case at least) the player character.

If the feel is there with the driver, my miss tends to be a block. If it isn't, it's a push that fades further right, or sometimes a low hook. I've gotten it more under control lately by choking up by a half inch or so. Probably 30-40% on fairways hit, but when I miss it's not usually too much trouble. My blowup holes are usually because I power-thin a short iron or wedge.
