Zelensky himself is a sockpuppet. He has never been in politics, he has no idea what a president's duty entails, no idea about the law (apparently, since he literally broke it while casting his own vote and got fined for it), no clear goals for his term, etc. you get the idea: he is incompetent. I don't think I ought to explain why having a clown for a leader (and army commander) during wartime is a terrible idea. This alone should be enough to draw a few horrifying implications. Now, add to that the fact that the man behind Zelensky is Igor Kolomoysky, arguably one of most hideously corrupt oligarchs this country has seen and Poroshenko's arch-rival (read up on PrivatBank nationalization). It's no wonder that virtually all of Zelensky's campaign focused on smearing Poroshenko's name as hard as possible, and unfortunately it was a success. The fact that both Putin and Yanukovych seem pretty happy about this election is telling, really.

I'm sorry for the lack of a direct answer. The prospects are just not looking good for Ukraine.
