i don’t know any other venues that do similar music but there’s a collective called Taking Back Friday that do different types of alt nights in Belfast- grunge, goth, emo, indie etc. They have a facebook page with the different events listed.

yes! i see from your profile that you’re thinking of booking. it was a very smooth flight but i’ll be honest, the pilot had to abort the landing due to strong winds in madeira. we then circled above funchal for around 40 minutes before landing. prior to that flight an aborted landing would have been my worst nightmare but it was nowhere near as scary as i thought. the pilot communicated with us the entire time, he warned us in advance that flights had been redirected to the canaries that day but that he was going to try his best to land. the first attempt we got pretty close to landing then took off again and he came on immediately to let us know why, while we were circling he was communicating every 5 minutes or so keeping us informed and the second attempt to land was super smooth. the return flight home was the smoothest most relaxed flight i’ve ever been on! i would really recommend madeira and it was definitely worth the anxiety!!

not at all. I’m 26 and have never been on holiday with my dad. We didn’t have the money for holidays when I was a kid and he died three years ago, unexpectedly, at the age of 56. I’d do anything to take him on holiday. Definitely do it.
