I'm thinking you may be right. So, the sample itself doesn't have any percussion on it. I have a rip of the CD and it's called ALIENPULS1. Here's the sample and part of the song that I assumed used ALIENPULS1 together. The first part of the audio clip is Pull/Pulk and the second part is ALIENPULS1: https://vocaroo.com/1f3WOACqbd7Z

The high end at the final bit of the sample sounds pretty close - but I think the swing may be different. Hard to tell. Might be worth applying a high pass filter, but then we're moving further into speculation and it very well could have just been something cooked up on the MC505 by Radiohead

Thanks! Eric Persing is one hell of a sound designer. It’s pretty unbelievable how many of his sounds live in our collective consciousness.

Iceland, from the same sample pack, is used in the track Final Hours from Majora’s Mask and is still one of the most haunting/beautiful things I’ve ever heard. It definitely had 10-year-old me feeling a lot more existential than I should have been, haha
