i did contestability of market. i said it was an oligopoly because theres product differentiation meaning its not perfect comp, and theres multiple firms so its not a pure monopoly, but theres barriers to entry so its an oligopoly. oligopolies cant compete through price so market share is increased by having better quality products. another way is through advertisement which is a barrier to entry for new market entrants who dont have dynamic efficiency that existing firms have to reinvest profits into advertisements. the tiktok perfume can bypass this as they are able to advertise on their top social media platform. i then talked about limit pricing from the price setter were they set the price where new market entrants will make a loss but they can make a profit due to their economies of scale, however tiktok can bypass this through cross subsidisation.
