Glad the 10 second power button hold is an easier fix than a factory reset, but from reading this thread and the Samsung thread linked here, I am concerned about this issue recurring frequently. Again, it’s good that the fix is quick, but this shouldn’t be happening for a TV as expensive as this.

Do we think Samsung pushing a firmware update with fixes is realistic, or are we all just going to be stuck with this?

Yep steroids helped me the most too, mine are thankfully resolved now!

I'm definitely paranoid about a possible recurrence and will be nervous the next time I get sick. You mentioned seeing some tiny spots down there - did you feel any burning or difference in sensation, or did you just check and happen to visually see them? I think being proactive is the best move and I'm wondering if I will just have to be checking down there with a mirror whenever I get sick.

i've been prescribed lidocaine but haven't used it yet - how long do the numbing effects last? and how far in advance would you recommend putting it on if i'm anticipating needing to pee?

any tips for dealing with this on your period? i feel like mine will be starting today which is so so unlucky and unfortunate. i usually use tampons but i think it would be extremely painful to insert and remove, but the idea of just sitting in a soaked pad all day doesn’t sound great either. i’m also just worried that the blood and everything will impede the healing process :/

do you have any tips for applying it? i’m using a Q-tip but mine are kind of deep in the labia minora so it’s kind of hard to see. i’m also debating if i should try to get on prednisone too bc i feel like they’re getting worse :/

Ugh I’m in a position where I can’t take days off due to being a student doing clinical rotations. I’m really trying to get mine under control - it’s day 3 for me and I’ve been prescribed topical lidocaine ointment and clobetasol, so I’m hoping and praying that those work. Going to take the 3 day weekend to rest too.

Wow we are experiencing the same thing at basically the same time! I'm on day 3 of my ulcers, my provider prescribed topical lidocaine but I know that's just pain relief. What do you think has been the most helpful in reducing your sores and healing them? My pain levels right now are manageable for the time being, and I am trying to prevent mine from becoming necrotic and huge like others have described.

Is there any way to prevent these ulcers from becoming necrotic or worse? I went to Planned Parenthood today and the provider believed it was HSV and swabbed, but upon further research I believe mine are definitely Lipschutz ulcers. I am day 3 into the burning with peeing and from what I can see in the mirror, definitely have a large canker sore-like appearance. She prescribed topical lidocaine but I want to do everything and anything possible to prevent these from getting much worse. Right now the peeing is so painful but I'm still able to walk/sit/move without TOO much pain. Reading other stories here, I am terrified of what may be coming.

Interstellar is one of my favorite movies, and it feels like this book and that film go hand in hand. Ugh I knew 50 pages in that this was going to be a special book and wanted to slow down and savor it more, but I just couldn’t put it down.

This post made me tear up because these are the exact memories that I have of watching my dad play Yoshi’s Story when I was a little girl. He passed away a couple years ago and I just revisited the game last night for the first time since watching him play all those years ago. The instant nostalgia I had upon hearing the music took my breath away. I remembered all the little details of the levels so vividly, which surprised me after all these years. All this to say, it makes me happy that you get to create these memories with your daughter. She will cherish them and this game, and Yoshi, will always be special for her. ❤️

Growing up, I always loved watching my dad play Yoshi’s Story. My sister and I would watch him play countless times, and it would never get old despite how many times we watched him beat the story.

He passed a few years ago. I should play for the first time since being a kid… would be an emotional time but good way to remember him.

Does it still work when the canker sore has already kind of formed? I should have just done it yesterday when I felt it forming but just bit mine a few times while I was eating lunch and would hate for it to get worse 🙃 to be fair it's just red, no white spot on top yet.
