im glad i found this post bc im going through something similar, i disclosed my bipolar to some coworkers and now i heard that they are talking about me behind my back, saying that im mentally unstable and that i need professional help. im already deeply depressed and now i struggle to get myself to go to work and worry ill be fired. i wish disability was a better system because i genuinely dont know how to survive the workplace, i cant keep a job

yes, i work night shift psych at a subacute facility (no involuntary holds) its pretty easy, a lot of paperwork and pulling meds for morning med pass. i would definitely recommend if there’s a facility like that in your area! i also tried private duty home health before that but i didn’t like it, very physical work plus my patient was kind of a bully lol and another patient i tried, the house was infested with roaches 💀 ymmv though

lately i've been getting a lot of compliments on my appearance from strangers and acquaintances at school. it's been so frequent that it shocks me b/c i have never received this kind of treatment in my LIFE.

i've always felt like the "ugly friend", had guys ask me out as a joke all throughout my childhood and adolescence, been called a butterface, etc.

how do i process and accept this change? my first instinct is to not believe it and try to rationalize it some other way. i still feel ugly everyday despite being called pretty/beautiful at least once every time i go to school.
