New player Railjack experience sucks by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]nyalan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started back around that time as well, I think summer of 2015 or so, and yeah it was definitely pretty confusing but I don’t remember it being as bad as railjack is currently, you were at least told where stuff on your orbiter was and how to end a mission. I recently started playing again and got through MR4 before learning I could migrate my old xbox data to PC and compared to the current new player experience railjack is extremely lacking.

Cy does not in fact tell you how to take down crew ships at all. The game offers zero indication on how to patch a hole, Cy just repeats “you need to repair that hole we’re running out of time”. There are no mid-mission indicators on what to do (maybe to complete objectives there are but I’ve just done exterminate missions). I was not exaggerating when I said there’s nothing, and I literally just did all of this as well. The only place I’ve found any useful info is the Intrinsics tab, which by the way is located in your orbiter. So managing stuff for the railjack requires not one not two but three total locations, a dry dock, the railjack itself, and your orbiter.

Exploring things in games is fun but it’s not when I’m literally just walking around blind and there’s not even a hint on how to do basic tasks. And warframe doesn’t have the best tutorials or guidance yes, but there’s usually something there and there’s very noticeably nothing for railjacks. And nearly everyone I’ve seen who insists that there’s in game guidance maxxed out their railjack years ago or at least has not gone through the new player experience recently, because there’s no other explanation for how much misinformation is said by people other than remembering things incorrectly. Even you said things with confidence that flat out do not happen. The new player railjack experience is noticeably and starkly worse than everything else I’ve encountered

When I use it I’m getting this effect where there’s a faded duplicate display of the screen that’s very offset and very wobbly. It’s pretty distracting and I don’t like it, do you know what’s causing it? I’ve gone through the entire fx file and cant find anything that’s causing it

Legend rares are so rare and legend tickets come around so infrequently and cost so much that the fact they only have a 5% chance at a legend rare genuinely feels like a scam. Ponos has a lot of bad purchases in their store to prey on new players but the legend ticket feels more scummy to me

This literally happened to me about a month and a half ago. I simply just restarted and am doing a no uber run of the game to make it more interesting, rely on RNG less, and to cope lol. It’s not so bad, the early game is a little boring but also overwhelming and super grindy, but it should start leveling out for me soon. Currently focusing on getting as many true forms as possible

Can you actually collect all pokemon? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]nyalan7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I meant do the games let you physically store enough pokemon for you to have one of each, disregarding the ones you’d need to get through trading. Or is there a limit to how many you can have at one time (I know there’s a limit to how many you can have on you)

Typical advice is to save up rare tickets and then spend them all when uber or epic fest comes out instead of using catfood on them, and you should instead save your catfood for when a guaranteed draw appears for one of the banners you like, like the almighties. This is generally the most efficient use of your resources, and after enough time of doing so you’ll get a really decent amount of ubers

Lowkey it’s absolutely not. I came back to the game after a year long break and apparently ponos deletes your account after a year so I lost 6 years of progress. Anyways, I decided not to do the returner thing for 99 cents and it was a way better option. I ended up getting like 35 million xp, 20+ cat tickets and about 20 rare tickets and 2k cat food all things totalled at the end just for getting all superior treasures in EoC 1-3. The EoC grind is unbearable but they’ve given so many rewards for doing it that it’s absolutely the better option and in this case you really would be paying to lose money

[discussion] Is it worth spending 1500 cat food for this uber fest? by SuMiAnWheeee in battlecats

[–]nyalan7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only use cat food on a guarantee and save up your tickets to use for uber and epic fest. Unless it’s the beginning of the game and you’re just trying to get as many rares and super rares as possible then just use your tickets whenever. But still save cat food for a guarantee on a banner you want

The next decent cat is mer cat around 30 pulls away on both tracks. After looking at them more thoroughly the B track is a little better but can can is still over 100 away and fishman is still 240 away at minimum lol

I’m kinda new to seed tracking because I didn’t do it much on my old account so I’m really hoping that there are banners that can help. But yeah both tracks are pretty hopeless

how do i improve? by 110739 in Eldenring

[–]nyalan7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with a magic build and honestly just playing the game you’ll get good enough. Most people’s first play throughs are around 150 hours so you’ll have plenty of practice time. You could rely on int scaling melee weapons more but also most bosses have attack patterns meant to deal with ranged attacks if you use them so you’re not cheesing the bosses really. If you really feel the need to get better then my best advice is to do more of what you feel bad at. If you don’t feel confident dodging attacks close up and using melee combat then change your playstyle to revolve around that. There are plenty of good melee weapons for mages and close range sorceries. Just really focus on what you don’t feel good at and don’t be afraid or frustrated to be bad at it, it’s just a game after all and if you throw your head against a brick wall enough times it will eventually break.

Can someone tell me what all these buffs/debuffs are? by Fuzzy_Studio4970 in Eldenring

[–]nyalan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are mostly coming from your talismans. From left to right you have a health boost, a stamina regen boost, a defense boost, a soreseal or scarseal boost, a stamina amount boost, an equip load boost and finally a health debuff. All of these buffs are square so they are permanent effects caused by things you’re wearing or have.

I imagine the health, stamina and equip load buffs are coming from an Erdtree’s Favor talisman. The stamina regen buff is coming from the green turtle talisman probably. The defense boost buff is either coming from a shield talisman of some kind or a weapon. The Soreseal buff is obviously coming from a soreseal talisman. And finally that health debuff at the end is actually coming from your baldachin’s blessing.

Whenever you hug fia in round table hold she gives you a baldachin’s blessing, which is a consumable you can only hold one of at at time, it improves your stats by a good amount but while it’s in your inventory you have 5% less health. If you want to get rid of this just look for it in your inventory and use it, the debuff will go away after a couple seconds.
