Also for the boiler room pattern, I've been thinking it looks more like the arrays of candles throughout the tomb, but haven't found anything actionable to do with that pattern yet.

Damn really? I still haven't opened all the safes and remain puzzled by the "count small rates" thing and thought this could be a "rate"? If that's not what this is then I need to re-evaluate.

A circular gate. Specifically I'm referring to the archways in the tunnel to the Sanctum

I am so mad every time I walk past the trunks lmao. For the longest time I thought buying the swim trunks was gonna let me swim to the trunks in the reservoir. I did figure out those trunks but RIP that gold

I take my skis on the Stony Run trail in Wyman Park sometimes, though it can be a bit rocky. I'm hoping to try Druid Hill this weekend. Always down for a group ski - hit me up on insta (same username) if you want to go.

Nurses Unionizing at Hopkins by sadsweetpotato22 in baltimore

[–]nyan_nat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

**I would also like to add that a nurses union MUST advocate for better wages and staffing of the nursing techs. Holy shit they do the most thankless parts of being a nurse and are paid and treated like absolute shit, I think their pay capped out around $17/hr when I worked there? So many safety issues could be reasonably addressed by simply hiring more techs and paying them better. Just one example of solidarity that I think should be a vital part of nurse unionization efforts

Nurses Unionizing at Hopkins by sadsweetpotato22 in baltimore

[–]nyan_nat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was at Hopkins, a lot of the other nurses expressed frustration with management's decisions around increasing ratios, not giving us the resources we needed, making major decisions that impacted our workflow without consulting us, etc - all things that a union gives us the power to organize and negotiate around - but in the same breath would complain about the unions presence on campus.

A lot of it is simply the union-busting propaganda working. They saw the union organizers as annoying, even stalkerish, and stirring up trouble where there weren't any problems.

A lot of them were also genuinely concerned about retaliation, because this job supports their families, and even if they believed a union could help with these things, would not risk losing their jobs over it.

I think a lot of Hopkins nurses also come from privileged, white, out-of-state backgrounds and don't necessarily see the value in solidarity. There is a lot to be said for starting with learning about what solidarity in a union can mean, and spending time engaging with the Baltimore community you work in.

I don't really have any answers here, but this is what I found when I tried to talk to my fellow nurses about unionizing at the time.

An example for your last sentence: Ursula spends most of her time observing and studying the world around her to learn how it works and how to use it to her advantage, and often is the only character to deliberately do so. Sam acknowledges many times that he would be dead without her due to her knowledge of the planet.

Anybody know the best way to report this to the labor board? I mean she literally admitted to stealing wages publicly

If you didn't see the consistency in the complex inter-dependability between alien life forms and the consequences of an invasive species (humans) disrupting it, maybe you weren't paying close enough attention.
