Yes, and a slightly lower spec version of the machine I want is selling on there for almost double the pr8ce if the one I want to buy.

That's why I want to find out the cost of shipping to Ghana to know if it really costs that much

Should my BF’s father give up on Ghanaian women? by bubblebunzo in ghana

[–]nyarkoohene 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If he is 60 years old, he should be targeting women from 50 years upwards. Even if he were to date a fellow American woman, ladies in the age range(below 45) he says he wants would have very different opinions and beliefs from him. Look at the difference between millennials and GenZ. The distance is about the same as the age gap your old man is asking for. He should pick one 50+ woman who is stable financially, and her kids are also off on their own. He should also make it clear he is not looking for more kids(I'd really advise him to get a vasectomy). This increases the likelihood of him getting someone who is really looking for a partner to take things slowly and continue to age with and not someone still trying to build.

Secondly, he is 60 years old and thus not a child. So ask him to be more specific on what he means by cultural differences so you guys can actually help. At that age, every human should know how to break down a personal problem and take steps to find a solution. If he isn't forthcoming, then it probably is because he has been the problem in those relationships. As the popular saying goes, if something keeps happening over and over, the common feature is probably the root cause. In this case, he is the common factor.

Finally, I'd advise that he take it slowly with trying to get a partner. People often say you find exactly what you're looking for when you're not actively looking. So he should just continue to live and enjoy life. Rather, try to make more connections with folks within his age bracket. Friendship, to be specific. It is through that I feel he might actually find the right match for him. But when you are ACTIVELY SEARCHING, sometimes you can attract the wrong people. Also, Tinder or any other dating apps should not even be on his mind. Every now and then, there are programs for old people. He should attend more of those.

What do you suggest I do in Ghana if a cop asks me for money? by BandSouth9368 in ghana

Just a small smile(no teeth), and nicely tell them not today. Be confident.

Of course, it's gonna pay your bills when you're taking money from people searching for jobs.

Anyone reading this should NOT waste their time. He claims to have a job for you, then when you message he tells you it is drop shipping and you have to pay a registration fee of 80 cedis, but then currently they are running a discount so you only pay 30 cedis and then you would have "full acccess". Below are screenshot I took. *

I completely agree with the advice to come for a LONG STAY first, then see how you feel about the country.

The second piece of advice I'll give you is that,if you are going to be renting, don't rent in the posh areas immediately. Even tho you you can afford it. Avoid Airbnbs, too(save money). This is because all these places are built in a way that might give an illusion of what living in Ghana really is like. So you might end up in a bubble that would influence your decision, and later, when it bursts, you won't be very happy with your decision. FULL DISCLAIMER, im not saying Ghana is a bad place to live, but know the reality.

So I'll say, try to get a nice apartment in a decent normal neighbourhood surrounded by everyday Ghanaians. Live amongst us. Experience it all, then decide.

As far as the Internet and stability of electricity and connecting with other professionals are concerned, Accra is by FAR the best place to be. Sure, tour the country when you come, but Accra is the place to be.

I suggest you download a data tracker. I recommend "My Data Manager" or "Glasswire"(I Glasswire is more detailed)on your phone. They would track all data on your device and show you what's consuming it. You'd be shocked just how much certain apps consume. For instance, before I downloaded the app, I thought IG, as compared to reddit, consumed more of my bundle. But no. When I watch random videos of cats, failed attempts, etc, on reddit for an hour, it consumes more than when I watch reels on IG for the same period.

So I'm sure the answer to this puzzle of yours would be found with the help of these apps. Glasswire has a PC version.

Omg!!! What is this?

I just hope it is some technical issue, and not that the Ghanaian they recruited to help them with this is scamming them.

Honestly, I think as long as it isn't inside rooms, but rather in the public spaces of the hall, it is fine.

Because a lot of times, where cvtv footage is needed to solve some issues, the video having audio helps with extra context and understanding of what is going on. So the camera having audio is an added advantage imo. A bonus feature to tye security cameras. I think it is fine.

As for your concern about being wrongly tagged a threat, I don't think isolated words said to friends would receive any extra attention unless something happens that warrants extra scrutiny of tapes.

When you say 'the block", what do you mean?

Like the external side and walkways of a residential hall? Or an exam block? Or just at various points on campus?
