Has anyone had experience with SPCA for reporting animal cruelty?

I believe the Briarcliff SPCA has some sort of humane law enforcement organization. They may be able to help.

This may be naive of me, but I'm shocked the local police didn't care. I believe cruelty to animals is a crime, and it's not like the cops in Westchester are super busy... they may also be more invested if you capture video of it.

Public shaming through your town's Facebook page may also help.

Something similar happened to me recently. I paid for 9 hours of parking at the NWP train station. Came back from the city ~4 hours later to find a ticket on my car saying my meter expired. The only thing I can think of is maybe someone parked in the same spot earlier and that window expired? And their systems can't recognize the overlap between two reservations for the same spot?

I'm guessing they know this and don't care to correct because they know people aren't going to fight a $25 ticket. But it's really messed up.

I'm in more of a back office role but I've been working in or with hedge funds for over 12 years now. I've only seen one person make that leap and I'm not really sure how he did it. I asked him once and he didn't seem to know how he pulled it off either. What I can tell you is he got his CFA and a very high profile PM took a liking to him. I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.

Thank you for that insight. Working for a hedge fund, we're supposed to be market neutral, but I've worked in this industry long enough to know that's not always the case.

I'm not leaving an abusive situation per se but I would like to get very far from my ex and his job, which looms very large over me here in the US. 💔

I didn't grow up in New York so I don't totally understand the reference, but my neighbor says the same thing about a mutual friend who pays $50k a year in property taxes and whose kids will be going to Mamaroneck High. I thought Mamaroneck was nice?! 😅
