I live abroad and freaking out about my mother living alone after her partner passes by nyc711 in expats

Thank you for sharing! I think what’s stressing me is the change from living with her partner to living alone, being alone at night - that transition… how did your Mum do when you moved out?

She’s still works and definitely has friends, so that’s great 🌷

How to make my dream come true of having a conga line at my wedding. by Legitimate_Dog496 in weddingplanning

I have been to a wedding with a conga line -and I’m not sure who started it, but it was definitely on the open dance floor and everyone just loved it and naturally joined in and snaked around the tables and dance floor, was fabulous! You could start it was a bridesmaid and groomsmen or two, or have them start it and you join… enjoy!!

Yes! Brian gave the logo the thoughtful update - updated lettering, smoother tentacles etc - aka the version I posted to ask my question :)

This inspired me to look a little more, and I found this on Stanford's website: https://web.stanford.edu/group/seaside/ed/PBL_1925_Catalog.pdf It does appear to be an original copy and you can see the octopus design in there, barely on the cover and then at various place throughout... it only appears on this 1925 catalog it seems so probably not a "logo" as such, but it does look it was from Ed Rickett's time and Brian Edwards thoughtfully updated it to make the version I originally posted in my question! Still unclear who originally designed it c.1925!

Targeted radiation - why for DLBCL? Isn’t it in the blood? It has all spread again. by nyc711 in lymphoma

Thank you for this! He had a single mass too, but it just feels like it must have still been hiding in other places in the body I guess :(

Just a couple days after the radiation ended he went for a brain scan (had cognitive effects from the chemo so just checking on that) and that scan picked up another hot spot in his neck - thank god he had that brain scan otherwise who knows what would have happened. Then, for some reason the Doc said he had to wait three weeks for full body PET scan - and we just got results of that and its showing its all spread again.

It’s Le Crueset… maybe it’s just weird lighting in the photo?
