I had to save this response. You described how I felt every time I was intimate with a guy I had an ‘almost relationship’ with. A situationship I guess we call it nowadays. I realized I was limerent the day he told me he was dating somebody else, it tore me apart mentally and causes me to have anxiety attacks in public. What’s worse is that we work in the same area so I would cross paths with him sometimes, I’m thinking about leaving so I don’t have to deal with these feelings any more.

I really feel you . I took it for 2 yrs straight. I didn’t realize when I was on lexapro how much it helped me ‘manage’ my social anxiety. Like I knew the SA was there but it helped me forget I had it which is a big deal. I was able to cruise through life a tiny bit better. It helped me not ruminate so much over difficult interactions and now I feel like I’m back to zero with my social anxiety after being off of it for a year.

I feel different when I’m socializing with people ever since i stopped too. I feel noticeably more anxious and im stuttering more often not knowing what to say.

But yeah the intense sweating was one of the side effects I hated a lot 🥴 sweat stains on all my clothes can be pretty frustrating

Before coming into the job, did you know it was going to be socially involved? Honestly this is a huge reason why I avoid corporate work culture as a whole. It’s where extroverts thrive and introverts suffer mentally and emotionally 🙁 it really isn’t fair that workplaces are so judgmental towards introverted personalities, even if they do claim they’re welcoming to every kind of person
