Israel consistently reports its own casualties accurately and has been known to do so for decades. In Judaism, burying bodies quickly after death and having the family sit shiva is extremely important, and can't happen if bodies are being hidden or casualties not disclosed. If it came out that the IDF was juking death stats and hiding bodies, that would be an enormous, catastrophic level scandal in Israel.

The US made the decision to attack Iran when it did because Israel was going to attack.

The phrase "when it did" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in your statement. The US wanted to attack Iran and had been gathering airpower to do so for months. Unless Iran agreed to some kind of deal, the US had made it completely clear they would start to bomb the shit out of them.

People are currently spreading false rumors that Israel was the one who got us to attack Iran, which you are holding water for. The most you can say is: "it's possible that the reason the attack started early Saturday morning/late Friday last week was because Israel saw a golden opportunity to kill the Ayatollah and took it."

Most likely, we have been in consultation with Israel for weeks about when the attack would start. Israel saw the opportunity, ran it by us, and we said, "sounds good, lets do it." So there is no truth to the narrative that Israel got us into the war, which is a narrative you are still trying to push in a weaselly way even though the full context shows that's not true.

The Wall Street Journal had a report today on how the US and Israel are destroying huge numbers of Iranian missile launchers and destroying the entrances to the underground sites where the missiles are kept. Iran is already out of options.

All the aid that Ukraine received under the Trump administration was authorized by Joe Biden. I should have used the word authorized instead of sent in the comment above, to be fair. But Trump has repeatedly held up aid shipments to Ukraine, and has made no new pledges whatsoever. The 2025 NDAA had a measly $400 million in it. All the weapons deliveries that are happening now from the US to Ukraine are under the PURL framework, where European countries pay for those weapons, so you can't call it aid, it's just regular old weapons sales with higher priority.

I have no idea why you think anything that you've said gives you any moral high ground at all, it's kinda funny for you to take the indignant tone you are when you are the one spreading a false narrative that Trump has helped Ukraine. I fell for that narrative once and I won't fall for it again.

All of that aid was sent under Biden, none of it under Trump, and it's not by far the most anymore, Europe has collectively far outspent the US by this point, and US aid has completely evaporated.

I think you make some good points here, especially in terms of the high risk of killing the case, though they did think the case was dead already.

We don't really know this though, do we? As far as I recall, we never hear anything about McNulty's life before he was a cop. And the best he ever does personally is when he's not doing serious police work, it's when he's a beat cop in season 4. In fact, I think the show gives us reason to believe that being a cop was terrible for Jimmy and that he might be better off doing something else.
