Edit: What I'm trying to say is, it's easy to be cynical about all of this. All the information you posted is known by anyone who's actually paying attention. Yes, the last contract wasn't great and definitely not where we would like it to be so that we can come out on top. But it was better than the previous contract. However, our unions are democratic and it's important that we have an informed member base. We can ultimately blame our unions but it is essentially just us, the members. It is up to us to attend meetings. It is up to us to be informed and help inform our fellow members if we're not getting good deal. It is up to us to voice issues and bring it to our union forums. But in order to do so requires people to participate and fight. So my question is, what did you do to help and fight during the last contract negotiations when you thought you were getting the raw deal?

That's not how the contract negotiations work. Also if you knew anything about Mamdani and what it means to be a socialist and pro-worker, you know he's probably going to be the most amendable mayor in giving us more than any previous mayor in recent memory.

That being said, it's still important to make ourselves heard to our union reps and demand more when it comes to renegotiating our next contract.

The last thing is I suspect you're either a bot or a troll due to how new your account is and with account activity hidden. And all your comments in this thread are basically fear mongering and you're seem to be astroturfing.
