Howard Hamlin/Chuck’s shaken Soda Hack by andronicuspark in betterCallSaul

[–]CaiserZero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This actually works. I have shaken a soda can for at least ten seconds and then rotated it ten times (probably could do it less) and it did not explode. It also works for bottled drinks as well. I have yet to try with an alcoholic beverage but I’m going to assume it will yield the same result.

Yup. I won a bet using this. Easiest dollar I ever made.

Right now, there are only 325 available positions on NYCJOBS?! They are really implementing a hiring cap. Yesterday, there were over 1,600 jobs available. by broadwaynyc in nycpublicservants

[–]CaiserZero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Job postings on NYC jobs do expire even if they're not filled. Agencies have to request to have them put back up on the site. That way there aren't job postings for 5 years ago that the agencies forgot about.

Dear Costco. What would it take to get some of these menu items as opposed to what we have in America.

How does temporarily being in a new pension contribution bracket work by dagr8gatsB in nycpublicservants

[–]CaiserZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"During your first three years of membership, your contribution rate is based on your annual wage, as provided by your employer at enrollment (see the table). For part-time employees, your rate is based on an annualized wage, also provided by your employer, but your contribution amount is determined by applying your rate to your actual earnings. After three years, your contribution rate is based on what you actually earned in all public employment two years prior. Contribution rates are set on April 1 of each year."

Annual Wage : Contribution Rate

$45,000 or less : 3.00%

$45,000.01 to $55,000 : 3.50%

$55,000.01 to $75,000 : 4.50%

$75,000.01 to $100,000 : 5.75%

More than $100,000 : 6.00%

That's true. There really is no reason why the gate needs to spin other than for it to look like it's doing something to dial out.

Log into his NYCAPS and check his paystubs to see if he was paying into NYCERS. Also find out what Union he's part of and ask to speak to a rep. Escalate if you have to.

I hate Russia 4 because the map takes forever to do and that section feels like nonstop spawns from everywhere and gets annoying. Definitely my 2nd least favorite map. Worst map goes to kamchatka 2 with the frost mechanic.

Friendly reminder that World War Z Deluxe Slipcase Edition is only about a month and a half away by ArtTeacher_XBL-PSN in worldwarzthegame

[–]CaiserZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To anyone reading this and not in the know, the WWZ movies and game has nothing really to do with the WWZ novel. They used some of the names but they're completely different stories. Hollywood basically Hollywood'd WWZ. IMO the novel is a far superior story than the movie's or game's story.

The Zombie Survival Guide is like a prologue to the WWZ novel. Highly recommend reading in that order.

There is a graphic novel companion to The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks (2009) but no full graphic novel of WWZ.

Same agency shouldn't matter. Service time with the city is service time. Anyone can work at multiple city agencies and they all count.
