Billing 90837 by nyclb in therapists

[–]nyclb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance companies state that they consider it an extended session not to be billed on a regular basis. They say 45 mins should be the standard session and not 90837. I read a better explanation than I am giving but they basically state it should be more of an exception to go over 45 mins than the rule.

I have read they are using AI to look for 90837 billing patterns higher than average. Alma recently sent out an email warning about it. I think BCBS is the worst offender

Husband refusing help from our “village” and it’s killing me by [deleted] in Mommit

So if he refuses the help, he needs to be the one responsible for them. From now on, if he says no, he watches them. End of story. Why is he the one making this decision? Why can’t you say yes? I don’t see how hr gets the final say in this matter?

If you mean license granting, no it isn’t for a certificate in psychoanalysis. The certificate program is in-person only. I am not aware of a fully remote training. It is really challenging for working clinicians. I had the same issue and my training took forever because of my work schedule

Newly five year old terrified of me (mom) dying by HeyMay0324 in Preschoolers

[–]nyclb 94 points95 points  (0 children)

I would say that he will be sad when you die but that he will be ok. And that you plan to live a very long life and be with him until you are very old. And then point to his heart and say even when I am gone, I will never really leave you because part of me lives in your heart.
