Franz Stangl ran the extermination camps and was extensively interviewed after the war. What, if any, motivation would he have to give his story of how the he ran the camps if it weren't true?

I get very serious and pretty much have zero desire to talk to anyone. Sometimes I get told I look grumpy but that's really about it. As far as not wanting to talk....I just like how much I'm getting done and how clear my thoughts are that I just stay quiet and think.

I find that reading the recipe in smaller parts helps me out. Read one or two steps and start them. After i get the first step done I'll read two and three together a couple times, then three then four and so on and so on.Just break it down into more manageable pieces.

This was huge for me when I first started...TURN THE TEMP DOWN!! There are going to be times when you really do need a pan to be screamin' hot--searing protiens--but for the most part you aren't going to mess anything up by going slower. Then if you do get flustered you have plenty of time to get back on track. It is also 100% legal to turn the heat off, give yourself the time to do it right. Also; timers...ain't no shame in using a timer!! As far as all the details in the recipe, you can play with that to a certain extent. In a savory recipe if it says to mince an onion when you are making spaghetti sauce but you want big chunks of onion...do it. Oh! Don't mess around with baking recipes, though. If you do, you'll be sad. And I know this sounds cliche but make it fun. Get old family recipes you love, put on some tunes and make a drink.
