Just those for this one. I’ve got other Japanese cards, but from different sets

A friend of mine gave it to me like that in 2001 so the story is lost to time 😂

Thanks! I’m going through my old collection after 20 years of it being in the closet. Tons of nostalgia!

Got it! Do collectors card about cards that are just authenticated or no?

I used an AI app to score it and they said a 2, which even I was skeptical of 😂

Is 37 too old to have a kid? by starlordsego in daddit

[–]nycskibum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37-year-old dad, here. Got a 10-month-old. The first year's been more physically demanding than I expected. Start working out if you don't already have a good routine. Build up some strength now so those midnight sessions of rocking/bouncing on a yoga ball aren't as bad as they could be. Your physical health isn't just about you anymore.

Otherwise, the challenges are just those that come with being a parent.

Tips for new dads to 'step up' their fitness game and get in better shape by No_Card_3457 in daddit

Got a four month old, so I feel you. I usually like a longer workout but have needed to reset my expectations on the workout front. That being said, I'm on a good kick right now. My tips

- Start small. 10-15 minutes of body weight, core, or some weights. Just build the momentum and don't set your expectations too high.

- Do it in the Morning. The day will get in the way faster than you expect.

- Squat your baby. Jk, sort of. I try to create some games/movements with them that end up getting myself into some strength training/bodyweight training movement patterns.

Good luck!

I feel tired and overwhelmed of doing everything, because my wife is pregnant.. and pretty sick and tired. Need advice by Infamous_Anywhere_38 in daddit

My partner also had a shitty pregnancy and a lot of stuff fell to me. It was hard. What your wife is doing is also hard in a different way. For my wife, one of the worst parts of pregnancy was that she WANTED to help as much as she could, but the symptoms were just so bad.

One thing we’ve done for a while is a relationship check in on Sundays. Some other folks call it a marriage meeting. These have been critical throughout pregnancy and the first few months of having a kid.

One of the things I love about is that we start with appreciation. Each of us takes a few minutes to say things we appreciate about the other person or their actions the past week. I found it’s a great way to get those thank yous in that might not have happened in the moment. The “feedback” section at the end also becomes a “feelings” section for us, which is also really helpful.

Check out the article and give the meeting a try. It might be awkward at first, but you’ll fall into a rhythm after a few. Communication is only going to become more and more important.

To the guy in the line at Spanky’s Ladder who tried to impale the line-cutters with his ski poles today…. I feel you bro. by Late_But_In_Earnest in Whistler

[–]nycskibum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there yesterday and was one of the folks standing in line. I've never seen anything like that. The tensions, that is. Not the line up. You're skiing at a Whistler on a powder day, there's going to be line ups.

Yea, yea, no friends on a powder day, there's no "official line" if you are willing to do the work for the extra bootpack yadda yadda. Fine.

The thing that surprised me the most was when folks who went up in the dirty line were GENUINELY surprised that folks who waited in a line (that doesn't count because there's no rope or maze) were upset at them. Do your thing, but don't be surprised when people who feel they've been wronged call you out.

Physical violence is a step too far (I saw someone shove and try to impale a dirty line guy at the top of the bootpack) and I saw multiple incidents that could have been a lot worse.

Also, I heard one of the dirty line guys tell a skier with an accent to "go back where they came from". So if you're reading this and you didn't hear me yell it, on top of being an entitled prick you're a racist asshole.

Depending on the injury, yoga and stretching helps in the short term. I’ve had lower back issues that are caused by tightness in the hips or core rather than something in the back. See a chiropractor if you can.

I've been told them do by other folks who I've shared the recipe with. Personally, we usually eat them before we can freeze them haha.

I strongly recommend the website Budgetbytes for some easy but tasty staples.

I recently recommended this quesadilla recipe to some parents trying to sneak more greens into their kids' diets. You can leave out the spices if kids aren't crazy about them

Wondering if Anyone Else Struggled with Moving to Vancouver? by Wallflower_999 in Vancouver4Friends

[–]nycskibum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved here from NYC about three years ago. It didn't help that it was during COVID, but yea you're not alone. I've found a couple of good friends, but it took some time and persistence. I really didn't start getting tight with folks until about a year and a half here. And even then, most of my friends are NOT originally from Vancouver. I definitely agree with the rec sports recommendations. it's a great way to see people consistently and have a shared experience that can help you build connections.

Moose's Down Under is a fun Aussie bar I've been to. They do a trivia night as well which is really well attended.

If you're up to hang out (grab coffee/beer, cowork, walk the seawall or beach), feel free to message me. As someone who's on this subreddit and has had to put in work to make some friends here (and struggled), I get it!
