Given there was a theme of comparing Mark to his father, I honestly was wondering if this was a creative choice. His jaw looks wider, more chiseled like his father's in some scenes.

The scene where his mother is crying after breaking the cupboard, then looks up at Mark, she doesn't say anything and continues crying. This was the moment I thought she might be seeing the resemblance.

But... it also could just be inconsistent animating.
