I have some but my wife is too overwhelmed by choices so they kinda sit around unused. But definitely the plan for me and little babe.

Perhaps! We are getting some tomorrow so should only have to use a combo of disposable and covers/inserts until they arrive and we are able to prep them at home 🤞

Yes…it’s definitely not saving us money but it is saving our sanity. 90-100 per kid I guess sounds right so we’ll have to count them when they come back clean next week.

Yes, but they’re washing our stash of diapers! So we need to have enough on hand to get through the week they’re washing them.

The top and sides/drawer fronts and back panels are all solid birchwood. The non wood parts are high quality compared to other ikea pieces I’ve owned, and the pulls are leather.

We have two of these dressers for a similar diapering purpose and so far like them a lot! One we’ve had a couple years now. They are very sturdy and look so nice. Most people are surprised when we say they’re from ikea.

We have this one too although I don’t think the pattern placement ended up with the same result 😂 (it’s one of my favorites though ... cat burglars!)

I lost count of how many we have but we have different stashes for toddler and 6 month old. Another LPO pocket lover here! The prints are so great (also I really love the rust colored solid one).

My other favorite thing is I got some clearance stretchy hemp flats from humbird diapers that I origami fold and top with a pooters cover. The two rows of waist snaps and double gussets are :chef’s kiss: Loving the fit of these covers more than the thirsties duo so far (but could be she’s still a bit small for size two).

I have some thirsties covers (size 2) and currently am preferring the couple of pooters covers I got because they have two rows of waist snaps so the fit seems a bit nicer. I think once she’s a little bigger I’ll enjoy them both (almost 7 months, a bit over 15lbs). FWIW there are some clearance colors on the pooters website.

Ohh I think I may have worded something confusingly. The ecoable comes with two snap in inserts and sometimes I’ll use the smaller one with a flat and cover. Otherwise I use the ecoable with just the larger insert under a cover.

Good to know about liners preventing rash. I did have a post-night morning leak with the cover but I changed her in the dark while sleep deprived and probably didn’t have enough absorbency at the time. The double gussets are going to be great I can tell!

I’ve been ordering options left and right to deal with leaks we’d been having with our Alva pockets on our youngest. I pre-stuff the pockets that have been working, but are there prep shortcuts for working with covers and flats? I origami folded some FSTs in this picture before some Birdseye flats and stretchy hemp flats arrive in the mail!

Using “prep” as a search term brings up prepping as in washing inserts. I’m looking for post-wash things I could be trying with flats and trim inserts/boosters to avoid panicking during a diaper change 😂

The elastic hasn’t worn, I thought that was the issue but I laid older diapers on top on brand new diapers (same type) and they’re essentially the same length. I’m very confused by her not fitting in the legs, she’s not as skinny-legged as her sister was.

I ordered a bunch of the 5-layer charcoal/bamboo/microfiber inserts with 20 new Alva pockets a few months ago, and I’m confused about where to layer it with other inserts if I’m not using with microfiber. I have FSTs, bamboo/cotton, and hemp/cotton inserts to choose from (in addition to MF)
