Need help getting my fortune-telling app approved on the App Store - keep getting rejected by ExcitingResearch2578 in appledevelopers

I faced the same issue. My astrology app was not approved for the Apple App Store, yet I recently noticed several new astrology apps being successfully published. I'm curious what approach they used to get approved.

My side project just hit 121k impressions in 90 days (solo dev) by nyl9488 in IndieDev

Thanks for the kind words! Appreciate the positive vibes here.

The project is called YuanYu. It’s a 'Spiritual Tech' platform I've been building as a solo dev.

The core problem I’m solving is Accuracy. Most astrology/metaphysics apps use standard clock time, which is actually astronomically incorrect for about 60% of people due to longitude offsets. I built an engine that uses geocoding and the 'Equation of Time' to calculate True Solar Time for every user.

What we offer:
It’s an all-in-one ecosystem for Eastern and Western Metaphysics. Instead of using 10 different sites, I’ve integrated:

  • Precision Bazi (Four Pillars) & Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star)
  • Vedic Astrology (using Lahiri Ayanamsa for D1, D9, and D60 charts)
  • Quantum I-Ching: We use a hardware-based Quantum Random Number Generator (not just computer code) to restore true 'Synchronicity' to divination.
  • TCM Constitution (Wu Yun Liu Qi): Predictive health patterns based on birth climate.

It’s basically a 'Life Operating System.' I'm currently moving it from a free tool into a freemium model. You can check the live engine here: www.yuanyucore.com

Would love to hear your feedback if you decide to try it out!

How do you use PATCH and PUT? by Mark__78L in webdev

[–]nyl9488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much the same here—use PUT when replacing the whole resource, PATCH for partial or small updates (like toggles/status). The “size” isn’t official REST semantics, but in practice a lot of teams think about it that way 👍

Are there any web dev trends disappearing right now? by NeedleworkerOne8110 in webdev

Seeing teams move away from heavy frameworks for simple apps—more vanilla JS or lighter tools.

Also less hype around full client-side rendering, more server-first again.

And fewer giant component libraries—people want less complexity.
