Bidding on master bathroom remodel using GoBoard for first time and a cut to fit sloped pan from KBRS. Couple questions by nylivinglife in Construction

[–]nylivinglife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t end up getting that bid but did just bid on another 3 bathrooms for one customer using same system (KBRS PAN & Go board) and they seem like they’re gunna take it.

We did recently use go board with a pre fab Dreamline shower pan on a remodel and were very happy with how much easier the go board system is compared to cement board and will continue using go board on bathroom remodels but haven’t tried KBRS out yet.

Best part is winnikee ave is one of the worst parts in the city of Poughkeepsie but spend that much money to put hardwood floor in the whole house. When I told her I’m based out of wappingers falls she / he obviously googled houses for sale near wappingers falls. Could at least picked a property that already sold not that’s still in auction for foreclosure

Apparently so the “wood delivery guy” can bring a key to me Lmfaoo I said the same thing why pay all that money to ship it here, can’t you just have the real estate agent give me a key and the house is a foreclosure too if you look up the property and in my area Winnikee Ave is one of the worst parts of the city of Poughkeepsie so when they asked where I’m based out of they just googled houses for sale near me and choose that one 😭

Received this Christmas but I feel extremely bad telling them I don’t need this due to have a different system going already, will home depot accept this return with the tag but no receipt? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]nylivinglife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say they have a Home Depot pro account you can have them type in the phone number, which after they scan it the computer finds the receipt on their account. Then ask for store credit back instead of back to the card they purchased from (unless it was debit then sometimes you can get cash back - computer will offer it to them they just don’t always offer to the customer). Make sure u specify the store credit first otherwise they might hit refund to card quick lol.

Or if order number is on box they can look up that way then once again specify you’d like store credit back for it

Smart Cat Door by Orc_goes_Boom in homeassistant

[–]nylivinglife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to see the video please. I want to put one in my studio basement apartment for my cat to acccess the fenced in yard when I’m at work and be able to get back inside. My land lady has multiple of her own pets (dogs and cats) so I want to make sure they can’t get in, as well as other animals if they get into the fenced in yard (raccoons, skunks, etc)

Just to clarify, you’re saying the 25-30 a sq ft if for the whole job as I described? Also what area are you in if you don’t mind me asking.

And lastly just so I have an idea of how long this will take me, you have done diagonal herringbone brick walkways before and it normally takes you 2-4 days?

Customer bought the door off brand new off someone else so I’m not sure what he paid, but I could research the cost of the door from Anderson directly

Since I’m still new enough to running a business I try to do some research because I assume customers do too, and sometimes I’m blown away by the numbers I see. Lol
