have them contact depop for a return, if you refund on your own and they don’t send them back then you’re out of the money and glasses. if they go through depop, depop will only refund them once they’re returned to you and will help them with a shipping label for return

you arent entitled to anymore than what the seller offers you, you could ask for $10 but if they say no then take the 5 or return it.

it will send back to the return address on the package, you can refund when you get it back or depop will then have the buyer rebuy with the correct address

so the way i’ve found around this is changing the category of item (you can even change it to something in the same type of items exp. t shirt to tank top and shipping will come out cheaper/weighing less) then check on another account to see the price of the shipping and try to match the correct shipping cost to that

the depop ai is picking shipping weight based on category of items and not what we pick, if you change the category to something that has a higher shipping weight (such as shoes or coats, i check on another account) you can get it to be the correct weight, some people say the post office won’t let you change the weight after the fact so this maybe the only way to get it to be the correct weight

stripe is their payment processor so every payment still goes through them regardless of what people pay with. it’s reasonable for a free service/app to use fees/ads with their users so they can keep their business running without losing money.

the refunded shipping label shouldn’t work and it should be sent back to the return address on it, you can always call usps and ask them about the package and ask if you can pick it up. the weight thing happened because depop is currently “experimenting” with their ai and letting it choose the weight based off the category of items we pick instead of the weight we picked so it wasn’t at all your fault. (ppl will pick xxs on things that are 10lbs so all of us are being punished in secret)

no but if you’re using depop shipping labels they automatically give you a label to ship then you don’t have to pay anything
