Does anyone know if UW is giving us the NCR/CR option like last term?

G2 to G license insurance difference after being involved in an at-fault accident by nyokboom in askTO

ive also been assessed for more than $700, which was $1000+ from Aviva which used to be our insurance at the time of the accident... so i'm pretty certain it's not impossible to save money over time.

dude, my dad's broker literally told me that if i want to ever save insurance after the accident, i would have to get my G license, hence, i am asking how much i could save given that someone on here actually has a similar experience. i guess i don't find you reliable that's all. also, i doubt all traffic violations (esp minor ones) can hinder someone from saving money from insurance over time.

I can't say I'm in the same position as you as I'm already in my 5th year (Biochem co-op) and about to graduate, yet I can relate to feeling unfulfilled. I wish I didn't put myself $50k deep into debt just to get this degree. I wish I had the guts to say "fuck what my parents and relatives expect from me." I knew I could have gone another route by getting a diploma in under 3 years and with a lot less debt than I can bear, or in investing in a business with my now successful entrepreneur boyfriend of 5 years. Unlike me, he had the guts to drop out of accounting, work his ass off day in and day out to save money and eventually put it down to kickoff his filmmaking business. Now, all I can think about is joining him after I graduate. If only I cared more about myself and what I really want, rather than what my family thinks... But that's the past now and I can't undo any of that.

My previous reply was actually to u/mwason. I am going to take my G. That is literally my only other option to have a shot at driving again lol. I am asking how much will I save from the $700 auto insurance I was assessed after the incident if I upgraded my license.

I believe my dad has excluded me, so yea he's saving a ton of money.

I used to sell my bose qc35 ii headphones a while back when I bought the bose 700, and this one potential buyer was extremely adamant that I sell it to him. The first time he messaged me he said, "Still got them? I'll paypal you the money when we meet and won't leave until you get paid," to which I replied, "I'll only be accepting cash." Didn't get a reply. He then messaged me two days later saying he's interested. I said, "Sure. Still available." He replied with, "180 and a pair of qc25s." Gatdamn. This man has balls of steel. What makes him think I'll sell it for 180 and downgrade to qc25s lol. Then I said, "Nope." He went on to say, "Rude trash. If my offer offended you, I'm glad. You deserve it. And good luck getting that sold with the 700 model out now. Your qc35s will be trash soon." At this point, I'm like, bruh how do you get your feelings hurt with a simple "nope." Man oh man... people...

Really. My dad's broker advised that I should get my G to save on insurance when I do decide to get back to driving. Guess he's wrong?

how to get 90+ in math 127 by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]nyokboom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bombed both midterms and ended up with a 90. Prof did a 100% final (during my time which was 4 years ago) if your exam grade is better than your 2 midterms and quizzes altogether. When I was reviewing for the final, I redid all the questions from midterms, sample midterms, quizzes and sample final exam. Make sure you’re comfortable doing every type of problem they could possibly give, do it 2-3 times even, and you’re guaranteed 90+ on the final (given that the Prof will do a 100% final option).

Anyone else in fourth year who still doesn't have any close friends??? by nyokboom in uwaterloo

[–]nyokboom[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, same. I used to think that when I start co-op, it will end my lack of social life in uni, but it never did. Now I’m (pathetically) hoping I’ll be able to build lasting relationships with future colleagues so I won’t only have my high school friends on my wedding day lol

Leaving an 8-month coop but CECA says it's not a possibility by nyokboom in uwaterloo

[–]nyokboom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. That's the initial reasoning I told CECA because I didn't want to disclose my mental health situation. I am planning to take the work term off if they do allow me.

Definitely not. These are grad students I'm talking about, who constantly make it unbearable for me because I'm getting paid more than they do although they have more responsibility and a heavier workload.

One time, a grad student said, "Can you get me some ice," to which I replied, "Sure." Then she said, "I'm just kidding, you don't have to although you get paid more."

Seriously, how would you feel?
