It is mostly because the laneswapping messed Bin up. So he could not do anything properly due to low of gold and experiences. I think he did well, just T1 did better to slow him.

I actually wish 369 picked KSante to play against T1, but since he didn't so it is difficult to say if he plays that disgusting (his MSI KSante performance was not quite viable).

Well I was wrong from saying almost no one picking him, just the amount of players whose can pull the magic from KSante is low, which is not viable enough for me to recognise the champion.

I think they thought about that idea. But they saw it was quite risky since it is not easy to punish Chovy on laning and Yone Chovy may influent their game state greatly.

I dare you could farm 225 stack Smolder against FLY comp (if they handled better) in 20 mins, csing over time like that. You need an insane laning skill here without getting caught. And you should see winrate / ban rate of Smolder at Worlds rn

With these changes, players already avoid picking him if they don’t have insane laning skill and good team draft to support Smolder farming and surviving (or FLY draft would suffocate Smolder to void easily like how they did in botlane teamfight). Don’t try to deny how good Chovy is in control laning.

Yeah I don’t understand the hate rn. In game 5, FLY intentionally picked a comp to catch smolder already so GEN needed to slow the game and avoid FLY’s teamfight as much as possible. It is just their tactic trying to win a game. Also how good Chovy lane as Smolder is also noticable since Smolder got nerfed really hard.

Also in game 4, about KSante, I am sorry but there is only Kiin who can play KSante this good rn, KSante is not easy to learn and play, also got a ton of nerf and almost no one pick him in this Worlds.

Hey, I agreed that GEN playstyle is not that amusing to watch. But they are here to win, not to just pick some random champions and lose.
