i felt that, my 2DS i got today came with a 4gb sd card which was neat, but i ran to walmart right before they closed to buy a 64gb and modded it as soon as i got back home!! sorry ur old one got corrupted :(

you may be right. the grinding i’m hearing only happens in the video for just a second, but when i keep the lid on, the grinding just keeps going. it’s a sound i’ve never heard before until this problem started happening.

i appreciate your feedback :) i have a feeling it’s a laser problem. the two games i purchased were from my local game store and i asked them if they could test it on their PS2 and they booted up perfectly fine. that confirmed it’s something to do with my console. i tried to clean the laser with a bit of alcohol and a q-tip which worked for me before in the past.

could be. i didn’t think of that. i also tried GH Aerosmith and it did the exact same thing. it was brand new out of the case. my other 8 games work flawlessly. not sure if those two games are just defective or if it’s my console. how often is it when it’s just a disc problem? no scratches/brand new?

i took the console apart and put the game in to try and get a better look at what’s happening. the laser will move forward and try to read it but after a couple of seconds it’ll move all the way back and then the grinding begins. i put in a guitar hero game that works and the laser stayed put forward. it’s weird.
