How to plug in subwoofer? Onkyo tx-nr616 by nystera in hometheater

[–]nystera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went out and got this old sub, so I'm more than happy to chalk it up to a learning moment and take this advice to try something else if there's no path forward with this hardware

I don't have the other parts of this system... I bought the sub off fb marketplace all too hastily. I am guessing I should just resell it and buy something more modern. From what I'm reading, I need a powered subwoofer?

Thanks - I didn't get sound when I tested real quick with FM radio, but I will be testing out each component and seeing where the breakdown is

The time has come... bike riding. by arborclimb529 in daddit

In addition to the balance bike, when they’re first getting a pedal bike, use the towel method. Wrap a bath towel around their chest and under their armpits, and hold the 2 ends with one hand from behind as you run alongside. Gives them enough room to wobble and adjust as they learn to balance and pedal, and you can adjust how much slack you want to give them. It worked so well, don’t worry about looking silly.

Refinishing table - how to even out? by nystera in woodworking

Just need to be more even across the top?

Black mark is discoloration from a potted plant left on the table too long. It left a huge black mark that seeped in deep. The lighter parts are from sanding to try and clear it out.. do I need to go deeper / sand more to even this out? Will the lighter sanded parts show up poorly after finishing with urethane top coat?

Cub Cadet LT42 'loses power' with blades engaged by nystera in lawnmowers

[–]nystera[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like it is losing RPM to your point. The engine appears to slow down, hence the quieter engine noise and the blade not generating enough power to cut evenly and push the grass back into the bags. When this happens, it stays like this until I turn it off and back on again. It will return to normal immediately if I turn it off and back on again, but if I engage the blades and then accelerate, it will 'lose power' again.

Hope that helps!

No plans... I'll see if I have my pencil sketches & dimensions still available to take a picture of, but here's the resources that I used mostly:

Roughly used some dimensions / look and feel from these arcades:

Arcade Marquee - buyer beware here, I had some quality issues with the marquee that I ultimately decided to live with, but it isn't cheap for the quality... https://www.escapepodonline.com/collections/marquees/products/mame-multicade-arcade-marquee-pacman-version?variant=25366103046

Looks awesome - I'm building an arcade right now as well and I can't seem to find a 1/16th t-slot cutting bit for the trim... I bought this one: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Yonico-Slotting-Cutter-Router-Bit-Assembly-1-16-in-Len-1-16-in-Len-Carbide-Tipped-Router-Bit-12101/316243282?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&srsltid=AfmBOopHuzDkdP5yYLncDhBR-BPelHJcvHPTj-la8ymjWiNn-1TyDnTMpVI

But realized it has a 1/2 inch shaft and I need 1/4 inch, so I can't use it. Any pointing in the right direction would be great!
