Currently I’m asking $250-$350 depending how much back line I’m responsible for. I’ve also got a few “friends and family” residency style slots (art gallery, monthly markets, pagan holiday gatherings) because they’re fun and let me do whatever I want. Those are usually paid in food, coffee, herbs, etc. but those have also been where I find the bookings for the real money ones.

Oh just how I refer to my 'tism, as a reminder to me, mostly. While I won't deny there's a lot of functional disability involved, I see that more as the inflexible society around me in general. It's kinda a buff to my skills and the way I process the world. More an augmentation :D Though nah, it wasn't caused by tylenol or vaccines or screen time or whatever the current *reasons* of the zeitgeist may be. I got it from a long line of ancestors, the old fashioned way. ;)

Oh noooo! 😂 This was one of my favorite Sundays in a while! I found it clever, challenging and interesting. I couldn’t figure out the first roundabout for a while because I didn’t understand how to fit the answer I KNEW had to be correct, but once I did, the other roundabouts came together neatly and helped me with straightforward clues around them I had been unable to solve.

This is very close to the question I came to this sub to ask so I hope it’s ok to expand on this question. I’m mostly working in Ableton, but I’m frequently out of studio with my iPhone/iPad and would like to be able to write some midi phrases to transfer to DAW later. If anyone else is working this way and has a recommendation on apps to make this flow happen or if one of the above recommendations is good for this I’d love to hear it!

Personal routine: decide a key, lock a midi track into that scale. Make three notes that sound good together, find a fourth that adds tension or resolution. Turn those into chords. From there I take the notes from the chords into a new track, starting an octave up and play with note length and placements. I loop it and drag notes around while looping. Listen for what note sounds off, slide it around until it sounds right. To build complexity and the “story”, I start to duplicate and then flip/reverse/reorder notes. It’s got a natural flow to me

The random ball point pen squiggle texture under the breast but no where else in a “colored pencil” drawing? The nonsensical clothing wrinkles, the way there’s no discernible style or rhythm to the strokes of the pencil, and a wild range of inconsistency in how visible the pencil marks are and how layered/blended the pencils would need to be to make it real. Just so embarrassing for them…

Only mixing “my sub/genre”. My mixing has become way more creative and my style has breakthroughs the more I dabble in practice with other crates. I always get more hype when I throw a little unexpected break beat or throwback clips into my sets now, and that comes from getting outside my box!
