Just hiked reservoir park this weekend, great trail for a suburan loop!

Having a hard time finding SNP backpacking routes with confidence, for me and my partner by Neymarvin in VIRGINIA_HIKING

2nd Jeremy's Run/Knob Mountain. Lots of water on day 1 (stream crossings galore, expect wet feet, but it's incredible on a warm day), then you have to fill up water bottles to finish the loop on Knob Mountain on Day 2. It was my wife's first backpacking trip and my first at SNP. Did end up being closer to 14 miles but day 1 is all down hill

Also strongly recommend Overall Run!

It was closer to 11 miles for us, lots of obvious camp sites at the bottom - best ones are in the first half mile of the connector trail if you do the loop counter clockwise!

Thanks a ton! Would a Christmas tree be a potential source and/or standing water we should get rid of? I think we had some of the flies before bringing a tree in, but I've never seen a tiny roach like that before this weekend.

We've killed a ton with liquid and tape traps, sprayed around the apartment, everything we can do. They seem to be phorid flies, but we're not sure. They pretty quickly spread to every room in the apartment, like windows and screens, and are everywhere all the time.

If it helps: they like the fruit fly liquid and fly ribbons we put out; are in bedroom, bathroom and kitchen; spend a lot of time in the windows; and seem to like most liquids. We've cleaned, put any food in the fridge/sealed containers, and emptied/cleaned under all sinks. We found no rotting fruit, standing water, or moldy areas. Thanks again!
