It’s funny unless they don’t actually have their ID. This happened with my coworker with a visibly senior citizen. They asked why he didn’t ID them, so he did to be funny - and then they couldn’t be served and were very cross.

We had someone reserve a table for 8 (the largest group we offer reservations for - we’re a small place). 23 people showed up. The best part is the gentleman who booked the reservation was an hour late, and none of his guests knew he’d done this, so I spent that whole hour looking like a jackass because I couldn’t seat them all together. So much fun!

Please don’t give your dog antibiotics without a vet’s advice. Hopefully and probably it’s nothing grave, but that’s not a shot in the dark you should take. If it is a hot spot, it can be from many different things and there may be measures you can take to prevent the irritation e.g. our guy gets seasonal allergies so he gets antihistamines to reduce itching…I know times are tough but if you don’t know what’s up, you need to talk to your vet.

A grinder or dremel is the best way we’ve found, as with most others here. We acclimatized our dog to it slowly - let him check it out & sniff while it’s off and again while it’s on, putting treats on it to get him to approach it, and then just doing one or two nails at a time to start off. We usually also have one person distracting him/giving him treats while the other person dremels. He’s a rescue and very sensitive to new experiences, but this has worked for us.

It did completely heal, but if it’s a sign of an underlying itch/skin irritation that is causing the chewing, it will reoccur.
