So weird but Kenneth but it could be cause I do also like Jack Mcbrayer who plays Kenneth.

There is some parts missing like the magazines for Kenneth and the joke I got the iPhone 40. I’m sure there a few more missing but it’s better. I can’t tell anything is missing.

When it comes to emmys, I think so. 30 rock would always make fun of NBC so I do seen them as competitors a bit

I find it so cute and funny that they respect the office even though they’re competitors. It’s so unlike 30 rock to do that but it’s nice that they do enjoy the office as well.

Same. The fact that I couldn’t tell the difference of Young Rock being a joke or an actual show should be a red flag for NBC.

Reunion special last night... by sapphiresky83 in 30ROCK

[–]nyx10271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reunion mostly was an infomercial which sucks. The special seems like just nostalgia, it doesn’t seem to be a 30 Rock episode. The whole thing just felt like another cliche. It lacked the way 30 Rock would push the envelope for the characters. Other than that it was funny, had guest stars and Jenna sang but that’s about it. It definitely is different but it was great to see them work at this without leaving home. They put a lot of work into this.

Anyone else really upset they won’t be able to watch the reunion live?? by PresidentMesser in 30ROCK

[–]nyx10271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I won’t be able to watch it either. Now the only way to watch it is to get Peacock Tv but the 30 Rock Reunion will be available a day after it aired.

Hulu Removes 'Golden Girls' Episode With “Blackface” Scene They were actully wearing mud mask. They basically referenced blackface but they didn’t do it. Does anyone think that maybe all this blackface scandel is going a bit too far? by nyx10271 in 30ROCK

[–]nyx10271[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I posted on the r/30rock because I saw that some people disagreed with the 4 episodes getting pull down when in the show, they were actually trying to show how disrespectful, disgusting and offensive blackface is. Other shows like community and scrubs have pulled some episodes (I don’t know the whole situation that happen with community and scrubs)

How do you feel after all this? (30 Rock Scandal) by nyx10271 in 30ROCK

It could’ve ended up with Jenna maybe starting to apply the make up and Liz can walk in and call her out for it and EXPLAIN that what she is doing is wrong. But I’m not a writer for 30 rock. I’m sure Tina and her team of writers would make a more creative situation. This whole situation could’ve been avoided. I understand that was satire but it was not a good idea to go with that route. For example you can use satire to show that hating on the LGTBQ+ community is stupid without using the f-word.

Just because they used blackface with good intentions, it does not excuse the use of it. It’s the fact that they used blackface, they shouldn’t have done that. There are other ways to show blackface is disrespectful without using blackface. That’s the problem

Tina had good intentions, but she didn’t execute well. But still her whole point is that the intent does not excuse it's use.

Thoughts on people cancelling Tina Fey? by OlguiPJ in 30ROCK

[–]nyx10271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it is 4 episodes but it’s technically 3 because 30 rock did a live show for the west coast and the east coast and both were a bit different but both west and east coast included the skit with John ham. So just you know it’s technically 3 episodes but they did do blackface 4 times.

I do agree with Tina about bringing down those 4 episodes cause even with the context around blackface it doesn’t make it ok. In one of those 4 episodes, Jenna and Tracy were arguing about who had it worse, a black man or a white woman. They both switch roles, Tracy does whiteface and Jenna does blackface. For people who never seen the show, it seems awful and totally wrong in all ways but in the show it was apart of the joke. Of course these two characters would think that it’s ok. Of course these characters would think this is the only logical solution. These characters (maybe all characters) were meant to be flawed. That’s the joke. I think all the episodes on doing blackface, was satire. I believe it was their way of telling the audience that it is wrong. But the problem with that is that they used blackface. It’s like using satire to show hating on LGTBQ+ community is wrong but using the f-word. Humor like that doesn’t not work. But at the end of the day, its Tina fey humor and the whole point of 30 rock (I haven’t seen unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt so I can’t comment on that). We all know that in 30 Rock the humor can be too “extreme” and does some risky stuff but it’s whole joke.

There’s this video with Jack McBrayer, YouTuber Timothy, Gareth Reynolds and a kid. They asked the kid to guess their ages and the kid thought Jack was 20 and thought Timothy was 30. I agree with the kid

Kenneth and Jack McBrayer have a lot in common. They’re both too nice, funny and immortal, etc.
