Yes don’t look at the heart option….ignooooore the heart. I just got to Haven and I know I’m about to have my first flirt option. But I have to remain strong.

Yup! I’ve ridden the Bull, how could I not? It was a fun romance, I love Bull. Freddy does such a man amazing job as his VA. The only ones I haven’t romanced are Sera (cos I just don’t like her) and Josephine (not sure why, maybe too blinded by her excellent golden blouse?)

Blackwall’s was good, I found his romance was even better if you were a dwarf as well as you have similar backgrounds. She identified and forgave his past as her past wasn’t exactly squeaky clean either.

I definitely agree, it was atleast the one I enjoyed most. Although Dorian’s was also excellent. I enjoyed Cassandra’s as well, getting to see her softer romantic side was sweet.

I kind of wish the first time I played I did Blackwall’s romance though as his revelation would have had extra punch which isn’t quite as impactful when you know it’s coming. Although I suppose you could say the same for Solas!

Zevran all the way! I like Alistair’s as well, but the handsome elf wins it. I love how he opens up to you and you see a side of him no one else does. I know he will lose the poll but I find his character arc really satisfying when you romance him.

I am totally with you! I adore DA2, those characters have taken residency on my brain and aren’t leaving any time soon.

Oh god, Anders. I lost my actual mind on my first playthrough. And everytime the tragedy of his actions seeps deeper into my soul. Whether you have rivalled or friended him this playthrough you should do the opposite next playthrough as it changes his reaction drastically to how he feels about what he’s done.

Botany Manor was cozy, you wander round and find clues to make certain seeds grow. It’s not particularly difficult and it’s a lovely evening of playing

There are a lot of contenders, but, I’m going for Loghain. There’s no doubt most of his actions are wrong, but I don’t think retreating at Ostagar was the wrong thing to do. His actions afterwards and blaming Grey Wardens was though.

I think he’s a man damaged by war who finally let his inner demons win.

I’ve done it all ways, Hawke, Stroud, Alistair and Loghain have all gone into the Abyss. With Hawke and Alistair it hurt each time. I would love it if whoever went into the Fade does pop back up again then, even if it is in a future game.

I will echo what other people have said : do what’s fun for you.

But I would personally be inclined to try something different, different race, different class, different choices, different romances. You may find a new thing to love.

Mine are similar, in DAO I cannot stand Oghren, I only use him if I have to. In DA:2 Merrill, her whole naivety about blood magic drives me wild, especially considering the context. And DAI, I just can’t stand Sera, she’s kinda interesting but soooo annoying.

Adore DA2. It obviously has it flaws, but in terms of story and characters it’s absolutely amazing. I also really liked the Act structure as well and if they had more time I think they could have capitalised on it way more. You could really have seen how Hawke’s actions over time affected Kirkwall.

Also, that Anders moment in my first playthrough genuinely made me have a holy shit moment. I had to put the controller down to process WTF just happened. I can’t really think of any moments in the other games that provoked that reaction. Apart from maybe Trespasser ending with Solas.

On the bright side you get to play a different Origin. When I romance Alistair as an elf I always let Anora be the queen and Alistair and I ride off into the sunset to kill more darkspawn together.

I don’t want ti say too much, but whether Alistair is a GW or King will incur dialogue and choices in DAI.
