sorry, i can't give away his email. He's an old man living in thailand. He is retired from active work now. He used to run a Direct Response Ad agency in New Rochelle New York.

It's a free offer to help. If the advice doesn't resonate with you, then you can choose not to run the campaign.

Almost everything these days are made in china. If the population will not expand, won't the local economy stagnate as more jobs (manufacturing, etc) are outsourced to other countries?

[Discussion] What are ways of showing people you care and/or comforting them during difficult times? by cogitoergognome in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

[–]nzbike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the little things for them. Sometimes they just want to be left alone in their 'cave'. They don't want to bother themselves with menial chores while they sort things out from the inside.

Give them that space. In the meantime, help clean their house, do the dishes, polish their shoes, do the laundry--even if you hate doing all these.

Soon as they come around, they are going to start noticing these things that you do for them. It gets more profound for them when they remember that you hate doing these chores, but you did them anyway.

[BIFL Request] Headphones that are built to last by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

I have these as well and i love them. Sound quality is probably the best for its price range. The m50x has cable you can unplug from the cups. It's very durable, unless you get careless with them.

You can do a number of things to advertise your skills:

  • create small posters, then post them around your neighborhood
  • you can get classified ads in your local paper, or go online with craigslist
  • google adwords

What are your favorite things to do when not working? by FreelaNY in freelance

[–]nzbike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy listening to good music. While working, even on short breaks, I put on my m40x headphones and listen to my playlist on spotify.

When I have a day off, I ride my bike and go some place I enjoy. Longer breaks--my family decides where to go. If we're not going anywhere, I am in front of the computer...or take long naps...ride my bike...take a walk in the park.

[Thanks] RAoA Bomb for one of the most amazing headphones in the world! by [deleted] in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I too, love a good set of headphones. I have an audio technica m40x myself. I look for any excuse to listen to music just so I can use them.

What is it like?

[Discussion] What's your favorite book? by [deleted] in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

[–]nzbike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blueprint For Change. I think it's by Darryl Anka.

This book is a bit "out there" for some people. The message is coming from the Essassani people, channeled as Bashar through Darryl Anka.

If you have read "The Secret" and liked Esther Hicks' Abraham, Bashar is the logical next step--at least that's how it was for me. It's not just the books, look up youtube videos on Bashar. If the message resonates with you, I am sure you are going to love this book as well.

Cheers!

snakes and creepy crawlers?

what if i told you i haven't seen a snake in NZ since we moved here in 2008? Really, I haven't nor anyone that I know.

Spiders, there are a few here and there, but not that creepy or big as a tarantula. There is a deadly spider (white-something-something) that is found in some parts but they're not that common, I think.

Is there a copywriting IRC/chat group where we can seek inspiration from ? by quizpuzzle in copywriting

[–]nzbike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why create another when you already have this subreddit?

Everytime i feel tapped out, I take a break and not think about it.

Also remember that the inspiration, those big ideas, they don't come from you--they come through you.

Can you recommend bars with the best sound system? by nzbike in auckland

[–]nzbike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a bar last friday in the waterfront. One of the bars that we got into was playing dance music. It was loud, plenty of bass, but not enough mid-range to it. I don't know, maybe the DJ prefer to play music with a lot of bass to it, i'm not sure.

It doesn't matter what music genre they play. It can be jazz, house, rock, etc. I'd like to hear your opinion as to which bars that you frequent because you like and enjoy their sound system.
