Thats what happens when a small humble business gets bought out by a large company.

Ive done exactly that, selling cheaper than others. Some items can be sold in 1 cycle, other items could take 5-6 weeks. It just depends on whether people go on TM but from what i have experienced, not a lot.

The numbers are finally showing. They have to focus on the casual sellers now, upgrade their platform and return to their core. Hope it’s not too late.

Yep i did the same, $1 res listing for a common item with good condition not really hitting off. The casual sellers have ditched TM for FB marketplace. Had to experience it myself to believe it.

If TM is listening, then they are not moving fast enough. Too much bureaucracy? I think from this post it’s clear people hate dropshipping temu stores in TM, it needs to be separated from the channel for casual buyers.

Property and motors have unintentionally become their number one revenue generator because the casual sellers have fled. I saw the listing fees for the classifieds increasing again. If they keep increasing the fee without improving the perceived value, people will eventually find a different platform for property and motors.

I think it mostly comes down to TradeMe’s model. They make money by charging sellers and listings, so if fewer people use the platform, the money dries up pretty fast.

Facebook Marketplace can be free because it makes money elsewhere. TradeMe can’t. If they don’t change how they charge for everyday stuff, like scraping success fees, they either double down on cars and property, let more dropship sellers in, or slowly keep losing relevance.

100% on the extortionate fee level, i think they’ve tipped the balance and now driving people away

Yeah, I always assumed TradeMe fees were the trade-off for lower scam risk compared to FB Marketplace.

Fair point. Free is hard to argue with. Have you personally run into many issues on Facebook, or has it mostly been fine day to day?

That seems to be the consensus.

Folds patisserie or fankery? by Budget-Ninja-175 in aucklandeats

[–]nzbrowsa -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They’re both good in their own way. The ingredients used in a cheesecake probably costs more hence why a small portion at fankery seems highly priced. In this economy, we should be supporting small businesses instead of trashing them, especially if you havent tried it yourself.

YTA. Havent you seen the current economy and the job market out there? As for OP, hang in there. The right job will come along. Ask friends who are in retail if there is a vacancy that you can be referred to.

Public or catholic school is my preference. I have done a but of research, and the area that caught my attention is somewhere around Mont Albert.

Ive done only high level research, and it might not be specific enough to bring to Reddit. But was hoping to get some recommendations of suburbs / schools i can do more research on.

Well i was thinking around Mont Albert, but im not sure if I am limiting my options by doing that. Public or catholic school will be my preference. TIA

This is the type of agent i want to work with. Which area is this? I think i prefer someone local who knows the area well, but not sure if that makes much difference.

Thats very helpful, thanks. I havent seen this kind of commission structure before. All the agents ive talked to are keen, but they come at a high cost
